I like to have a plan for the week! There are some days that is harder to follow through than others. I find having a goal for the week helps. Yeah I think at this stage it is easy to slack a little. I think I need to go back and recommit to myself. emoticon

I completely agree on both points. To-do lists and exercise!

I've use a free, online todo list called toodledo.com . It lets me put things into contexts (i.e., work, me, house) as well as assign priorities and due dates to tasks.

That way I can make sure exercise is on my to-do list!

I love to do lists! I might not get it all done either but I eventually do! I need exercise for my health and sanity! I am finding that as my children are getting older I am actually finding less time but my daughter will be in Grade three in the fall and my twin boys are going into Kindergarten in the fall. I am training for a half marathon for May 1 and am doing it injury free this time so it takes a lot of my free time. Exercise makes me feel good about myself, allows me to enjoy some naughty evenings and shows my kids about being healthy...It makes me feel more alive!

I need my exercise to help me sleep well and keep an even(er) emotional keel - I found it was really important to set my plans lower than I could realistically accomplish - that way, I can accomplish it most of the time, and go over it a lot. This works better for me than aiming high and not making it once in a while -

When I'm not working (like on vacation), I really need to do a "to-do" list for myself or else I just sit like a bump on a log. I don't always get everything done, but it keeps me focused....

I do really well for periods of time and the scale shows it. I will feel great, healthy, strong and in control which is a feeling I love. But then something hits like vacation time or we go out to dinner with friends, etc. and it is during these times when I kind of just give up for the night or in the case of this last weekend 4 days. Then I come home feeling disappointed in myself until I regain control. I know that I should not be hard on myself when I slip up but it is so depressing to see the scale move up or to just know I didn't have the will power to say no.

Today is another day and I am continuing to grow and understand how food affects my life in more ways than just what the scale says.

Exercise, also has more meaning now than it ever has. I am finally beginning to understand the importance of exercise, even though I have been an avid sports enthusiast for years. Being active keeps me sane to say the least, I can count on activity to always lift my mood.

Yes we've been here for 8 weeks now!

And this is week #9 of the rest of our lives.

I'm kind of slacking lately. I find myself floundering a bit. My house is very disorganized and it's starting to effect me. I have making too many excuses. I'm doing better than I was, but... I need a SCHEDULE. I hate to say it, but it's true. With the kids and the computer time and the workouts, and now with making my hubby lunches 3 days a week...I need a more firm "do this now" sort of thing, because I'm too good at forgetting, or thinking I have more time than I do. Also I may need to change my lights out 10 instead of 10.30, because I'm falling asleep so exhausted. I can't maintain this for another 3 months, nevermind the rest of my life, so I need to figure something out.

That said I'm doing great number wise.

I hope everyone else is doing well too!
