Congratulations, everyone, on your progress! I haven't weighed yet because needless obsessing over numbers is one of my weak spots. I'm going to allow myself to weigh after I've finished the challenge (on Jan 29th - I can't weight - pun intended).

I really like the idea of the little glass animals for visual motivators. It's kind of like "kills" on kamikaze helmets. I might make little bikini top magnets for my fridge or something like that.... Thanks for the idea!

Hi,
It is great to see everyone is making progress. I had a pretty good week. I went to the gym as planned this week. I ate pretty healthy. I do have a temptation with a soda but came out okay. I have not weighed in yet since I do not have a scale. I am waiting since I don't want to have a set back because of what the scale says. I do have more energy and love working out at the gym.
Good luck to everyone this week.
Patty

I'm sleeping better, my stomach doesn't experience as much indigestion, my workouts are getting easier, and I've lost 4 pounds. Woohoo!

I'm so grateful to not be taking this journey alone.

Happy Sunday morning to all. Hope the week has started on a good note for all.
emoticon to all who have lost weight this week and to those of us who didn't congrats just the same ... the fact that you are reading this post means that you have not thrown in the towel and is chugging along like the little train that could. Lets all remember that Remember that the pathways on this journey we are on are strewn with obstacles so there will always be stones (sometimes boulders)in the path of our success. Whether or not we get to our destination will depend on us ... do we use these stones to make a wall or build a bridge!

I don't think I'll be changing any of my fitness or nutrition goals this week. I just need to get these numbers right (Fiber and Iron especially!) and now that we've gotten help we have food and I need to work on sticking to the plan again (I plan our dinners 3 weeks at a time and post them in the kitchen). And for the first time in years we have medical and dental coverage (but only for ONE year) so I will be setting up some appointments for myself. AND all three kids have dental appointments this coming week. That always stresses me out to no end...

So my focus this week is on the house and getting it sorted and on NOT freaking out.

I weighed in this morning to a loss and you can all see from my ticker that I'm doing pretty well. I'm almost down 10 pounds. I need to iron out what I want my reward to be. The toy shop has these tiny glass animals I like for 3$ and less...I was thinking every 10 pounds I may pick one. We don't really have the money, BUT it'd be a nice visual of the weight I've lost. Though the focus is on health and fitness minutes I do have to celebrate the side effect (weight loss) too!

I also have my second "weigh-in" tomorrow.

This was a very difficult week for me - the stomach flu was circulating around my family. I have not had the energy to exercise, and I just started eating like normal today (after getting sick on Monday). All I can say is this version of the flu bug lingered!

My house is a disaster and I am devoting the entire weekend to sanitizing EVERYTHING - between my husband, our three kids and myself being sick, I'm not taking any chances with more bouts of sickness!

I have my second weigh-in tomorrow morning. I'm feeling better - I have more energy throughout the day and I know I'm eating better. I don't think there's every been a time in my life (until now) that I could say I've exercised 30-60 minutes every day for two weeks.
But I'm not noticing any change in my clothes yet. That's ok. I got a gift card to Kohl's for Christmas that I'm holding on to until I need smaller clothes.

How is everyone doing? Some of us are into week 3 all ready, and others are wrapping up week 2.

Anyone need any extra help or advice? Or looking for more Sparkfriends for support?

Are you feeling nay changes yet???

I'm feeling pretty good. We're in the midst of some crazily storming weather, which is making a daily walk not possible, but I'm still keeping up with my fitness goal. I am sleeping so much better, but I'm thinking maybe I should turn my light off even earlier! I still nod off before time to turn it off!

This week I really really need to get my outer world sorted. The house is such a mess and I'm not able to effectively be on my game when I can't even find my pants or a clean fork.

Besides the sleep, I'm down a pant size, and I'm like sleeping deeper. Used to be I was waking up every 2 hours to use the potty. I've had one night I didn't wake at all, and I'm only waking up once on the other nights. Some mornings I'm waking up before my alarm. AND some days I still crash out and fall asleep in the afternoon, but instead of sleeping for like an hour I sleep 10 minutes and then feel great and get up and go on about my day.
