I'm into week 2 and actually go a little excited tonight when I realized I'm not as sore and physically tired as I was at this time last week!
Best of luck to everyone as we continue through this week!

I'm trying to focus on making sure I get a good breakfast each day. It's something I've never done and now that I'm keeping track of food the compulsion to skip the meal is even higher. I've done a lot of reading on why that's a terrible idea though, so I'm really trying to make sure I get something down before I run out the door...

I start Stage 2 this week, so I'm looking forward to getting more information, keeping up with my streaks, and trying to find a "mental" balance between home life and work life.

I'm also starting my second week and I'm just going to continue to make sure my meals always have both fiber and protein. Since doing that, I've noticed that I'm hardly ever hungry. (and I easily meet my goals at the end of the day...in fact I have trouble meeting my calories.....something I never thought possible)
I'm going to continue to blog on here everyday since it keeps me honest and motivated.

Thanks for the great suggestion NoMoreBreaks on a healthier way to eat popcorn! I'll definitely have to try the garlic powder (I'm Ukrainian so LOVE anything garlic) and grated Parmesan.

Popcorn is one of the "good" snacks I allow myself. Air-popped, I can't Believe it's Not Butter, and a little bit of either salt or garlic powder. Yummers! For special treats (movie night) I sprinkle some cheese over it (either the popcorn cheese or grate Parmesan.. the Parm works best with the garlic).

I plan to continue drinking lots of water and also limiting bad choices of snacks. I really need to watch my food intake a lot more.

Wow - sounds like you're on the right track! I am slowly breaking myself in as my first big thing is to get rid of all the snacky foods (chocolate, pop, popcorn). It kinda sucks as I'm heading in PMS and that's the type of food I TOTALLY crave - LOL!!! So, my goal for this week is to not eat any chocolate, chips or candy and if I can go all week with not touching those things I'm on my way!

Sounds like you've got a very level headed approach to everything and a great plan to build on! It's definitely important not to take on too much at first.

Keep up the great work!! emoticon

Tomorrow I start my second week. I think I've learned this first week...and I'm thinking about the goals I want to adjust and add or remove for next week.

I've been walking every day but the one the weather wouldn't allow me to. I did an alternative workout that day to replace it. I have met nearly all of my goals that I set. And each day I did all or nearly all of my daily lists I am following to get myself in a pattern of waking/sleeping/caring for myself. The ones I did miss I did NOT skip, but picked up again the next morning and finished.

Having tracked everything this week I see it's time to work on the food part. I feel comfortable with just walking for a few weeks while I work on that. Then after the food part is going better I can add in other workouts and resistance training.

Also, in the outer world I need to work a lot more on the house and getting things organized before it breaks me!

Have you given any thought to what you'll be working on this week?
