I have w1d3 to do sometime today, but it's going ok so far. I have other workouts I do early mornings (5AM) on weekdays, so the biggest difficulty for me is finding motivation to get changed and out to the gym (I'm using a treadmill) again later in the day... or at all on Saturday. :) I Do M/W/S because Friday is leg day and T/Th are already cardio in the mornings.

I hope everyone's doing well with the program. I confess, I bailed out on it. With the hour-long work outs I had planned before I ever considered C25K, I had little time and less energy for it.

I'm sure I'll try again later.

Good luck FAB!!!

I finished W1D2 today. It went really well! I'm loving get back into it!

Doe--I got a podcast by a guy named Robert: www.ullreys.com/robert/Podcasts/ . I used it today for the first time and it was pretty good. He gives you little encouragements and mostly just says when to walk and when to run.

Anyone else found a 5k to sign up for at the end of the program?

1habitatatime CONGRATS! I completed w1d1 today too. It just about killed me LOL. WOW. I didn't realize I had gotten this bad. My body told me HELL NO at first, but then it was like "oh yeah I remember this" and the walking part did ok. The jogging part was..wow. I was listening to a podcast though, and I had a hard time understanding what she said. I'm going to try a different one wed.

Anyway, to everyone who started.. YAY!!! GO US! emoticon

I completed Week 1, Day 1 today. I've got it on my calendar to do each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

I'm so impressed with anyone who can run, or even walk, outside in the cold! I'm such a warm-weather girl after living in Texas all my life, and even with 50 degree temps, I'm sticking to my treadmill!

I completed this program the summer of 2009 and it was the BEST thing I ever did for MYSELF! There are so many benefits...like alleviating depression, body awareness and even increasing spirituality if you can run outdoors in God's country like I did! Even in the pouring RAIN! LOVED IT! I have since completed THREE 5Ks!!! Unbelievable sense of accomplishment! Best wishes to all of you, emoticon and you will be so glad you did!!!!! emoticon

I was so excited that I started day one week one today! It went really well! Only issue was the cold. Anyone else live somewhere cold? My lungs burned...and still burn a little after two hours.

I also found a 5K to sign up for in March, which is 11 weeks, but I figured I'd work on speed for the last few weeks. SO INCREDIBLY EXCITED!!!

And just because I'm not sure what I'm doing with the message board: are we gonna continue to post on this thread or will someone start a new one each week?

Wow this is AWESOME ya'll!!!!

I'm starting tomorrow as well. I was going to try to start today, but I did not get back in town until it was dark. My treadmill is in my garage (not attached) and I don't go out back alone after dark. My ghosts don't bother me, but we have a mutual agreement. I don't bother them either LOL. Seriously They really don't bother me, but it can get kinda scary to see a man standing there when nobody should be there. I'm much more afraid of the spiders though. UGH!
So anyway..long story short..tomorrow is the Day!!

Sindaena (Boy I hope I spelled that right), thanks for the heads up on the sports bras. I'll check that site out!

IAMDOE - Try Enell sport bras (www.enell.com). They are really expensive but an absolute lifesaver for us larger chested ladies.

I'm in! I have always wanted to do this, and was planning to start on my own. Having more folks starting will be great. I get shin splints, so I've been looking for stretching exercises. My goal is to run a 5K at the beginning of May. That's longer than the training program, but perhaps I will find another one before that.

Hey all!

I did the C25K years ago. And I agree, if I can do it, anyone can do it!

I was hoping to start again soon too, so with you all as motivators, I hope I can do it!

I live in Colorado, so it's cold and icy here too. I walked for 30 minutes yesterday with my dog and slipped twice.

I'll start week 1, day 1 tomorrow!

I am going to try this starting monday too. Right now I am doing 30 day shred as well so maybe the extra cardio will just boost everything. Only down fall is how cold and icy it is here.

I've tried the program before, but only made it through Week 3. I'd love to try it again, especially if there will be a group of us keeping each other going!

I did this during the summer, I was a total non runner and if I can do it, any one can, take it at your own pace and focus on doing the minutes rather than distance at first, your pace will get faster as you go, I will be starting it again next week, as I love running, I have just been very lazy the past few months

I am planning on starting this on Monday (when my husband goes back to work). I want to do it without him knowing at first and see if he can tell a difference.

I am also working really hard at cutting out sugar. I am so addicted! Especially to Coke.

Ok... so I've been looking in to c25k. Obviously it's financially do-able since i's free. I've *NEVER* been a runner. My boobs are huge. I'm not sure HOW i'm going to manage this. I plan to bring the treadmill back into the house. I guess I can run holding the girls LOL. I'll figure that part out.

Anyway, I posted this topic for anyone who wants to join me, or anyone who has done it before and wants to give advice or tell us how it went. Realism here folks.

Btw I will edit this post with links so if anyone wants me to add any, just holler at me!
