My long-term goal is to continue to track all my food and control my carb intake, and to continue doing weight training 2-3x a week, continue cardio classes and supplement all with walking, using my elliptical at home and taking advantage of Spark People TV videos. There's enough variety in the videos to enable me to switch up my workout routines as needed. I enjoy using free weights, but I plan to add resistance bands to the mix. I have accepted that daily exercise acts like medicine to keep my FBS in check (along with my daily Metformin). I know that my diabetes can change, so I'd like to forestall having to take insulin at some point in the future.

My long term plan to continue weight loss is to continue on a preset workout schedule, but shifting around the length and intensity level of the workouts. I'll also continue to eat the right kind of food, avoid caffeine, diet soda, sweets. I'll also keep a steady check on my blood sugar levels and correspond with my doctor on how the new weight loss and eating habits are affecting them.
