Week 8, Day 7... finished the challenge and feel good about the results. Met with my cardiologist and he sees good results in my blood tests so I'm going to keep working on my health using Sparkpeople. Wish I would have found this site many years ago but better late than never!

I'm focussing on whole foods and balance. Still trying to reduce gluten to see if it improves my arthritis but my reality is probably moving more will be the better solution.. This is my final week but will probably start again until the fitness goals are integrated. It really helps to journal my progress.

Week 8, Day 4 ... lost another pound. Now I just have to make sure I keep losing and don't put it back on! The Every Other Day Diet fasting is really making a difference. I still get 500 excellent calories for the fast every other day and I still keep my calories 1000-1200 on the opposite day rather than eating with reckless abandon on the opposite day. Seems to be working. This is the best progress I've had in 15 years of trying to lose the chemo/menopause weight.

I can't believe the 8 weeks are over. I can't say that I've learned a lot of new info (this is not my first time on SP & I "beat" Type 2 diabetes a few years ago). But, I have benefited greatly from the routine, the accountability, the goal setting that this team offers. I am grateful to Spark for helping me meet my goals and make new ones that I am determined to reach!!
And I DID lose 1 pound!!

Week 8 Day 7

WEEK 8 Day 4

emoticon Not a good day for this challenge today. Had family in town and now over night. Met other family members to eat lunch. So.....

Exercise: 20 minute emoticon . 35 minutes on the Wii before they arrived.

Food - emoticon I tracked it. That's all I can say.

Water - emoticon

They are leaving tomorrow. So I will be back to it.

emoticon Beautiful day today!

emoticon twice today.

Spent 30 minutes doing cardio using the Wii. What fun!

So beautiful I moved all of the patio furniture and emoticon , powerwashed the patio, let it dry, put down a new rug. Then started repotting the pots, carrying them back and putting the furniture back in place. I'm counting that as my emoticon for the day.

emoticon is tracked and I'm in range.

As I predicted, FBG was better today, because I got my exercise in yesterday.

It's really just that simple for me.

This is the beginning of week 8 for me. I think over all I did well. Considering that I usually gain weight during the Summer I am proud to be down a few pounds. I could always be eating better but I am comfortable and not feeling as if I am depriving myself of anything. I am going to do the challenge again right after this one is complete. I have been really good with the activity and not so great with the logging of the food so I am going to focus on that and eating better choices.

This is a wonderful challenge. So much useful information (I like the new information you get every week) and hearing about how others are doing.
