Yesterday was church and all went well as I was responsible for the program. I had a good FBS at 143 for me. Today, I slept in and did not check, but will be back on track. I was a bit fatigued after yesterday. I hr or recumbent bike and back in the saddle tomorrow.

Greetings All...... emoticon
I have been relaxing a bit today.
Swept the kitchen floor....againnnnnnnnnnn emoticon
Last night after dark, we went out and clipped the chickens wings, they were jumping our fence and a stray dog was after a couple of them yesterday.
What a muddy mess my backyard was last night, then it began to rain around 11:30pm and rained all night....MORE MUD, for my dogs to track in the house.....UUUGGGGG emoticon
Anyway, I'll get my biking in this afternoon and will relax tonight, my mom came over to let me know they wouldn't be home for dinner, so it'll be just D and I.

Just checking in for week 3. I'm down another pound this week. BS has been stable. Went for lab work this week and go the MD next week. Anxious to see how my A1C is. Have enjoyed a few of the recipes from here. My whole family have enjoyed them. I enjoy the resistence band video more than I did the desk workout. Good luck to all. Have a great week.

I totally understand the stress thing Pammie That was my hardest thing and still is to try to overcome. Being a single mom is hard enough but when I get off work after a long day and pick up my son to find out how bad he has been it's very hard not to say the heck with it and get something to eat to make me feel better. Just keep thinking about why your doing it and move on. U can do it! Good luck!

Sorry checking in for week 3 late but been a long week. Finshed the end of week 3 with another 3 lb loss which i was excited since it was that time of the month. Hoping to his another 3 for tuesday which will be a full 4 weeks and if I do that will make 14 lbs for the month! So exciting. Been working like crazy for it though. I take about 3 spin classes a week 3 days of strength training as well as try to get at least 15-30 min. of some cardio in the other days. Ive been almost a full month with not even one coke zero which was a big big thing for me and sticking to the 1200 calories NO CHEATING whatsoever so my reward on tuesday will be a coke zero! LOL! Wishing everyone else luck too! emoticon

8-Week Challenge
Good Morning, One and All emoticon
Today, I woke up around 8am, had coffee w/ my dad and mom, they're doing well.
I came home and got busy in the kitchen, yes I'm still cleaning it. I have spent 30 minutes sweeping, and moving and scrubbing. I finished sweeping and my big dog came in and flipped his bowl...dog food everywhere.......ggggrrrrr, ya gotta love em. emoticon
Yesterday I didn't do the stationary bike, so today I'll get my 20 minutes on it as well, and maybe do some vacuuming...the leaves and mud always makes it's way into my living room, it seems like Ruffus' paws have glue on them and releases it as he hits my
carpet.... emoticon
I plan on making chicken legs for dinner, oven fried maybe some mashed hubbard squash, as the veggie and starch. I am still trying to get my parents to eat balanced meals.
Which is a challenge at times. emoticon

Starting week #4 today. Did not finish week # 3 the way I should have! Had a stress test yesterday and was there for 4 hours. Brought something to eat but didn't feel like eating it but when I got home I was starving and eating everything is sight. Tried to stay on track but didn't. Ate healthy foods but more then I should have. Back on track today and plan to stay there!

ate a different breakfast and did the equipment today.. it helped keep the hunger under control.. lunch at the center has too many carbs so I did not eat them all.. I was not so hungry too which helped with that also..

getting good education but being in a wheel chair has its challenge for the walking and exercise parts I am using a bounce back chair which equals to a rebounder for people who can jump on one..went to the doctors with the best BP I have had yet so I feel like its a good thing..even if like some of the rest I see who can walk aren't loosing yet..hopefully the yet is about to turn for all of you and the journey will be of great change...I am getting alot better on portions..which I think was a not good,so have a great week team..will check in again...

Hello All,

Yesterday I took 1559 steps up to 5:00pm. I know I did more than that but I forget what the last numbers were. Today I am going to do my bike for 20 minutes.


I am heading into week 4 tomorrow. I think I am doing ok. I wish I could lose some more weight though. I guess I am going to have to work a little bit harder in week 4. I know I can do it.

Well, I'm finishing up week 3 and heading into week 4 feeling good about my accomplishments.

BS has dropped a few points since beginning this challenge, and I've lost a total of 4 lbs. I feel this challenge is really helping me and look forward to continuing into week 4.

Just finishing week three. Things are going well. I've lost 5 lbs. total since starting. My FBS numbers have been in check for quite some time, and I'm happy to say that they remain that way. About two months ago, my doc took away one diabetes pill, so the numbers remaining good is an indication that things are working well.

Well, I went out and I walked 1008 steps so far. That is up to 5:00 pm. I will of course do some more walking before the night is through.

I will be starting week 4 the beginning of next week, Monday. I have just gained 1 pound. I was losing but I don't know what happened.

Okey-dokey - about halfway thru Week 3. Everything going pretty well. I don't think I've lost much weight (my weigh-in days are Sundays, so we'll see then) but the FBGs have been consistently good. I think that's down to this challenge making me more mindful as to my eating plan, and reminding me to do exercise. So even if I don't lose much weight on this 8-weeks, I'd settle for the FBGs and the A1c being in a healthy range. A1c scheduled for the end of March, so - that should tell!

All is well with the challenge. The weather, however, is another thing. WE experienced 40 degree weather earlier this week. Yesterday snow, wind, and cold air blew in again. We have minus degree weather again, but it's not as bad as it was earlier this winter. I know spring will come sometime.

Finding it hard to get more exercise in..my back(spinal stenouses) has been acting up, plus I'm waiting for a full knee replacement..I'm getting some exercise but not enough! I haven't gained any weight, and lost 1 lb last week! I will just continue to eat healthy, and do what I can for exercise...

I pushed myself to the halfway mark yesterday. 2 mile walk, 6 miles on the bike, and 31 laps in the pool. My goal is to complete my own personal triathlon, 5k walk (run to come later) 20k bike, 62 laps in the pool = 750m swim. I am so excited I can't believe I did it. When I started I could only do 1.5 miles on the bike and 2 laps before I was exhausted. I have come a long way.

Exercise went well today. I usually do 45 minutes on the exercise bike in the morning. I looked down and was working on 46, still feeling OK, so I went 60 minutes. Had a little TB (tired butt) when I got done, but felt good to "go the extra mile". Have a good day all.

I plan to go to the gym today , already tired...laundry in washer and stripped & made two beds and fixed breakfast for my dh who now is down with the flu emoticon Just keeping kitchen cleaned and ourselves is exhausting right now

Hello All,

I did 20 minutes on my exercise bike. It is going good today. I will also do some strength exercises with weights and elastic band.

My exercise goals are coming along nicely. I am doing strength training 40 minutes - 3 x a week. I do cardio 45/60 minutes 3 x week. I change it up everyday (doing Chalean Extreme). I had two days where I didn't test my sugar - so I need to goal to stay consistent with that. I am tracking my food pretty diligently and now that my cleanse is over, am adding back in a few whole wheat/grains to see if my stomach and body can tolerate that. Overall - I am thankful for this challenge and it is helping me to stay on track with my goals. Will be anxious to see my weight loss progress over the course of this challenge.

Hello All,

I did 16 minutes on my bike today and I took 1586 steps up too 5:00 pm. I know I did more than that but I haven't totaled them up yet.

I am at a stand still, with losing the weight, the last time I reached my goal it took 8 months, I lose slowly with a lot of stand stills, but that is alright by me as long as it is still and not climbing! emoticon
