Week 3 Day 2

Deb that's wonderful! Give yourself a pat on the back!! emoticon

Got in an hour of cardio this morning walking. Did a 20 minute fast walk with my dog, Wishbone. Then did a slightly slower 40 minute walk with my neighbor. This after waking up not wanting to do anything. Part way through my walk with my neighbor I started feeling ill. When I got home I found that my blood sugar had shot up to 309. Definitely sick with some type of stomach bug. At least I got in my cardio first. emoticon

Week 3 Day 1 - I'm doing really well. For the most part, my blood sugar is now under control. I've had many lows and have needed to lower my lantus at bedtime 3x. I'm taking 15 units less than when I started. For my cardio, I'm walking, gardening, and doing heavy cleaning every day. For my strength training I'm doing a beginners workout 3 days a week. I'm managing to stay within my calorie range food wise. I'm using the trackers every day. I love this program!

I have a day of rest on Sundays so today is my first day on week three. I have the cardio done with Wii Fit games. I am using strength training now. (I avoid it like the plague!) So I am trying to do 10 minutes a day and 30 min on my Tues Thurs plan. My sugars are all over but I am hypoglecemic not diabetic. If I continue to have so much trouble with regulating my sugars, the doctor is going to have me start checking my blood. I find exercise stresses my body and I have to change the way and what I eat when I exercise. It has bee a learning experience.

Fasting Glucose 129
Today is the last day of week 3. So far I have brought my glucose level down quite a bit. I have also lost almost 13lbs. I think I have hit a plateau tho. Need to change up some things. Today was a beautifly cool day and I was able to push the mower for 105 minutes before I got too hot. I love to mow. Looking forward to Week 4.

BS this morning was 103, not fasting, at 6 a.m. , walked the dog for 25 min and did 10 min on the bike. Got my veg. beef soup in the crockpot for dinner ( kind more like a stew) its only 195 cals for 1 and 2/3 cup! Going to the gym at 9:30 with a friend to workout for 25min and swim for 30.

Feeling so so
Fasting sugar was 91 lowest in over a month
Still working out three days a week and trying to squeeze more in during the day with random squats or lunges or wall push ups..
Had on three peds to check steps yesterday and found two do not work well said I walked only 40 steps but Yet I was walking all over the place.. go figure...

week 3 day 4 (?) it is getting confusing
weight down this week from 261 to 257
drinking 10-12 cups of water
started a low carb diet 150gm or less a day
protein 75 gm or more a day
still drinking my v8 and eating veg & fruits(berries) made corned beef and cabbage for the week's dinner
did a 5k and a 10k this week so amped about that
doing strength training too

went to Zumba class last night, 1st time since last tues. it felt good to do something
different besides going to Curves. I exercised at home but not the same as doing a class
with other ladies, something about strength in numbers?? anyway I'm still doing okay.

W3D5(?) Losing track here. Anyway fasting glucose was 86! Numbers have been fantastic! Logging food everyday and still within limits. 30 minutes elliptical. Cooler temps. Might get some mowing in tomorrow.

Breakfast was lenders wheat thin bagel and peanut-butter Milk and coffee topped off with a banana.

Making it a great day energy is high feel good and happy I have lost a few inches not much off the numbers of the scale but some inches are gone around the waist so I am happy

Sounds good! BS 2 hours after breakfast was 106. Had multigrain cheerios, 1 C. one small peach, coffee, 8oz of 1% milk. walked the dog for 33 min and than after lunch for 15 min.

Week 3; Day 5 for me. Congrats to those who lost weight!

My internet has been off and on since a storm came through on Friday morning so have gotten behind on posting. All is good today. Got lots of exercise yesterday switching rooms around-both toning and aerobics. I will be out and about today getting ready for my college classes and picking up my books and getting other supplies needed for the school semester.

today is the first day of week three,just stepped on the scale and gained a pound, which
actually isn't that bad considering I usually gain three or four from the weekend then lose it
again during the week.So this week is to try some new menus and try some new exercises.

Well, the first two weeks started off great. This third week has started off with a sleep deficit and not near enough exercise or strength training. I do have some weights now. And I've caught up on my sleep. These next two days off I'll focus on getting my backside moving again and some meal planning and go from there.

Week 3, day 4
I've finally broken the three-week plateau and my weight is moving downward again! Only .6 until I break 300!!! I've been exercising 4 times a week, at least 20 minutes and tracking my food. I'm feeling really good!

Day 7 Week 3

Made it through the week. This was a challenging week because I am away from home. But I managed to keep it together for the most part. Food choices were the hardest part for me, and I went over a few days, but at least I got all exercises complete.

Nutrition tracked.

Well it's week 3 day 4 and I have lost 1 lb which is better than nothing. Lots of stress here, BS is 111 today, hubby had surgery yesterday, mad at adult kids and have to go to the dentist for a 4 hour appt. emoticon

Hello!

Week 3; Day 1 for me! Excited to try a new workout with the band. I have my strength totally back now from being sick last weekend and so ready to loose more than .5 pound. That is what I lost last week. I have a purple dressy shirt I am wanting to get into and only need to loose an inch or so for it to fit.

Already got more morning mile walk in with my Domino (dog) and am ready for breakfast. Blueberries, yogurt, cereal and coffee!

Spent 35 min. in the gym, did the eliptical machine, weight machine and treadmill. I also did a 32 min brisk walk this morning at 6:30 a.m. BS this morning was 113 but was 81 at lunch

This is week 3, day 1 for me. I lost one pound at the end of last week (I weigh on Fridays), so I was pleased! I do the exercises we are supposed to do for the challenge, walk 6 - 9 miles per week, and do zumba 5 times per week. I've also been tracking nutrition, glucose when I remember (whoops!), and water. My fbs are 68 - 96 when I take my insulin, and 123 - 144 when I forget to take it at night! I'm immensely better at that than I was just a few months ago, though, so no real worries. Getting and feeling better every day!
