205!!!! - down 61 points from yesterday - hope it does not got back too high tomorrow. I think it is going to seesaw a little bit until my body adjusts to the insulin and meal plan I am on. Also lost 1/2 pound this week. More into blood sugar than actual weight loss right now, but the weight loss does help with the sugar. My doctor did tell me that insulin will make you gain weight, so I feel blessed as long as the number goes down or at least stays the same!

266 - I was beginning to get aggravated, but remembered that I JUST started the insulin on Sunday, so it will take time for my body to adjust. wish it would go on and do so - I am tired of the up and down swing. Taking insulin daily and I have started on the diabetes meal plan (NO CHEATING) I should be able to get it down to where it should be and I do know it will not happen overnight. - AARRRGGHHHH! The waiting can be discouraging.

Sorry you are having angst with the drawing up of the insulin. It will get easier.
I'm being challenged by my post meal blood sugars. Ah life, issues and challenges. We will do this together.

220 - still above 200 - but down quite a bit - started insulin yesterday along with the Sparkpeople Meal Plan for diabetics
I have tried everything else - I hope this works! (I am having issues drawing up the insulin -my insurance does not pay for the pre-filled pens - am using the old-fashioned refrigerated insulin with the syringes - AARRGGGHHH!)

105 this AM before breakfast.

I plan now to start testing 2 hours after meals. If it still is as low I want to reduce my metformin dosage by 1/2 to one 500mg a day in the morning and see how that goes. I am certain if I eat a very healthy low calorie diet it will work but will it work with the way I eat now.

105 at 4am and I forgot to take my pill again.

I wonder sometimes if I am diabetic. They based that diagnosis on one high blood test and I was sick with fever and passing blood. I also ate bags of candy then. My A1C was high normal then but under then mark. bg was 170 ish but as I said I was sick and stuffing sugar in my face then. Thats like three years ago. The free clinic has checked my A1C only one more time since then and it ws 5.2 on June 2010. No test since then.

They also put me on bp and cholestrol medicine. God I wish I had a real doctor instead if the free clinic. My blood tests were not high they just did it.

Any opinions?

was 198 on Saturday morning - first time it has been below 200 for fasting in I don't know when. Of course I got in a rush yesterday and did not take it and Monday's are always bad for remembering anything - I KNOW - QUIT THE EXCUSES. Will try to do better and take it every morning (plus 2 more times during the day - my best time is late afternoon - almost down to the 150 range by then) - will start new meds on Friday (I can't afford to pick them up until Thursday when the check clears the bank). Lord I hate living payday to payday!

Thnx...was 126 this morning, but you said it right; I am under lots of stress at the moment and think I am going to take your advice. As well as my time in the gym, I live along the Gulf Coast and I think I will take short walks to help reduce stress. Thnx for listening!

9am 135. Glory be to God I have lost 4 pounds in the last week. Weight is now 229. I feel so much better. I can see my goal of 196 getting nearer.

92 and thats a winner.

Sugar goes up for a lot of reasons. The most important thing is to bring it back down. A short walk always helps mine. Also just eating fewer carbs always helps. It doesn't always come down fast especialy when I have eaten a lot of food for the past several meals. What I call the cumulative effect.

Also causing sugar to go up, stress, illness, infections, bad feelings, low water, too much fat (in food eaten I mean) lol, forgetting your meds, Golden Corral, Pizza Hut, my mother, poor sleep, work, etc ...

What makes it come down. Sparks. Exercise. Correct diet. Meds. Waiting.

my brain was not functioning this morning - I was done eating breakfast before I thought about taking my sugar. - went to doctor yesterday - my A1C was 10.5 - NOT good - time to kick this up and get that number down!

my finger would not bleed this morning! - stuck myself 4 times and could not get enough blood to register.
went to doctor - changing meds. Hopefully with the med change, the diet change and exercise I can get it down closer to normal. here we go!

437 ?!?!?!
I did forget my night meds again ( I have always had an issue with taking meds in the PM ) but 437 is ridiculous - go to the doctor tomorrow - will see what he says. I am recording all the sugars and also all my meals and snacks on the trackers and will be taking the reports with me - maybe we can figure this thing out.
