Hi! My daughter and I have already had physical therapy, taken a bariatric exercise class at a local hospital (we're looking into VBLOC therapy), and joined a gym a few weeks ago. We've taken Zumba classes and use free weights there. We're even looking at swimwear so that we can take the water aerobics class the gym offers (my daughter said she wanted to take the class--no pressure from me!) so our exercise plans are set. I created a paper tracker based on the ones I found at Go4Life (from the NIA/NIH) which is a program endorsed by former Surgeon General, Dr. Regina Benjamin. I am following my doctor's advice regarding carbs: 45 carbs at each of three meals and 15 carbs for each of two snacks. I've just had lab work done (HA1c) and will follow up with my new PCP next week! Now, if only I can log on here successfully...! Good luck to all!
