I am trying to find a good set of realistic goals. I could say check my numbers at least 3X a day. Probably FBS or when I first get up, pre-dinner, and bedtime. I could also forget the bedtime one and do pre-lunch. I'm on long lasting insulin and I have fast acting insulin I take if my numbers are too high. Other goals I'm already working on are to eat my meals with the proper ratios of nutrients. 50% cooked veggies, 25% protein, and 25% carbohydrates.

I am here, again, trying to start over and take better care of myself. I have been neglecting my health/diabetes for about 2 years now. I struggle with a sugar/carb addiction. I must get myself back on track to feel better & live longer without complications from diabetes/heart problems. I often get discouraged and lose hope. The weight is really hard to lose.
