My Pre-Diabetes is borderline so I am hoping that if I can lose a little weight it will put me back in the normal range. I am also hoping that losing a little weight will help my breathing and Fibro.

The trick is just get started! When I was diagnosed with T2, my doctor told me to walk 10 minutes a day. That first month almost killed me. My calves hurt and ached! Now, a year later, I walk 30 minutes twice a day. I've lost 102 lbs. And my calves don't get sore anymore. So, find something you like and can do, and start doing it.
