I've been diagnosed as being diabetic, which is fairly frightening. I know very little about the subject, but am aware that diabetes is a serious situation and should not be taken lightly. I am in the process of learning about diabetes and am a little concerned, because my diet is very healthy for the most part. I seldom eat out of a box or can, and seldom eat out. I am seriously overweight and have half-heartedly been trying to lose weight. I need to lose just the 100 pounds, and my biggest problem is even though I eat healthy, I generally eat for 6! The other problem is that I am not consistent with exercise. The other problem I have is that I generally sabotage myself. Every time I have a little success, I feel the need to undo the success. For the life of me, I cannot seem to figure out why I do this.

I really do not want to have to take medicine for the rest of my life, and gee wouldn't it be nice to actually be able to shop for clothes someplace other than Omar the tent maker.

I have an appointment August 5 for a followup A1c test. Currently I am at 6.5. I would like to be less and I would like to have lost upwards of 20 pounds.
