I recently had a wellness check and my glucose level was great, but my bmi was at 31. As a teacher, I do not have much time during school to exercise only weekends. My next check up showed my glucose I was predispose for diabetes. I have lost 7 lbs since I start working out again. But need motivation to stay on track. I usually reach a weight that my clothes feel very comfortable and start eating mindlessly again. Basically, yoyo type of dieting. So, I decided to join Sparkpeople to keep me accountable and track my weight and exercise. Need support all the time.

Hi, all:

I'm SH and I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes about five years ago. I got to the point where I was doing much better (down to an A1C of 9!), but now I'm back up to 12. I'm working on changes, though, and harder than I ever have. I've started making sure I get 30 minutes a day of good cardio (three days a week I'm doing Couch25K and working on a recumbent bike at home), but food is and has always been my biggest fight.

I'm really bummed by my 12 reading and angry with myself, but I need to pick myself up and move on in a better direction. :-/
