I found many interval timers in the app store now. One of them you can set the warm up time, walk time, jog time, cool down time, or turn any of those off so it will work for all days. You can play your music from another app at the same time and it will alert you over that.

Many options in the app store though that are free.

I use the countdown timer on my phone. Set it for vibrate. Low cost way to run without checking watch all the time.

Another person in another 5K thread mentioned Gym Boss: www.gymboss.com/

They are interval timers, specifically for training.

PRIORITIZED, I hope someone can answer this question for you. I was doing this program on a treadmill so it was so easy switching the speeds. You can also search the internet for a gadget that could bleep for intervals effortlessly.

I don't like having to hold my phone or a watch to track the intervals. Does anyone know of a free or low-cost podcast/audio recording/etc. that covers the 3:1.5 min intervals for week two? Or a program that would allow me to create one? Podrunner had one that handled the 4:1 if you reset it to add the additional 2 intervals. It'd sure make the adventure more pleasant for me if I could just plug in and do it. Thanks.

Think healthy thoughts.
