On the treadmill, I did much better, My first 3 road trips for the same miles (3.2ish): 41 minutes, 39 minutes, and then 38 minutes 14 seconds, but I injured myself on that one. Now I'm at 50 minutes. :(

I am about at the same pace averaging 4.5 MPH. I normally run at 5.2 but walk at 4 to 4.2 MPH. I joined just to push myself a little harder. I have a friend that ran a 8 K in 46 minutes which is amazing. So I just want to up my time to be able to run longer and up my speed a bit.

What is the average time that it should take to complete a 5K race? I am able to complete 3.1 miles on the treadmill in 40 minutes. I walk a quarter of mile then jog the rest of the mile. I have doing this for a couple of weeks now so I want to use this team to help me to get to the point of jogging a complete mile. But I also want to work on my timing. My first race is April 13th.
