I completed week 1 today .... I have consistently done better this week. In thirty minutes this morning I got in 2 miles that is a half mile better than I had done when I started on Wed. Finished off the track with another 2.29 miles ... also broke my best mile time ... I did the mile in 15'34 so that was pretty cool. I am using the Nike + sensor on my Ipod and it is way cool to work out ... It breaks down everything right down to calories burned. I can deep up with my personal best and then set goals I would recommend it to anyone .

That sounds like a great plan...if you have a smart phone you can download an app that has an interval timer for you that really helps with keeping track of your running and walking time...that's what I use when I don't use a podcast.A good one is gymboss and it is FREE at the app store on the iphone or ipod...sorry I don't know much about the android market if that is what you have.

I start week 1 tomorrow ... I generally walk three and half miles a day .. So i am curious how I would do this .. I suppose I can do the program then do the rest at a walk. till I meet my distance . At any rate i will make it happen ... Have a great week everyone !!!!

Well, 2 weeks managed to disappear first, but I started Week 1 today.
I did a short warm up walk, 5 sets of 4min walk and 1min run and a cool down walk followed by some stretching.
I like this! I did couch to 5k a while back (before an injury (unrelated) left me on the couch for over a year) and found it just right. But NOW, it's just too much for me. I don't have the same base level fitness. But the 4min walk cycles are great! They give me time to relax and really focus on my run. SO I run harder and better, and am able to be really sure that I can focus on good form.
1 run down, and many more to go. I am just so thankful to be able to run again!
