Day 3- done! I think I may need new running shoes. The ones I have a pretty old (from 2006/2007) and I've no idea the mileage on them. I did some different stretches before I started and that seemed to help the shin splint issue some. I felt ok after the walk/jog; pushed the last jog to 90sec. I wasn't moving very fast, but did improve my mileage slightly (.10 mile). Onto week 2 on Sat!

good job! today was a little harder. I wasn't expecting the shin splints but kept going and didn't use them as an excuse to stop. I feel better now that I've stretched a bit.

Way to go!! I did it too (I felt a little tired after the 4th minute, I confess). But it's a wonderful feeling! keep up the good job!

holy crap I did it! I never thought i would be in any sort of shape to run. I made it thru each of the 1 min runs and didn't keel over. I am so proud of myself! Now the next step is to get back out there on Monday for day 2 =)
