emoticon for the info on Gymboss - going to check it out. looks like it would be very helpful for me....

I just use a pedometer, counting steps and miles - wear it daily - if I'm going out in the morning for a walk I check the time I walk out the door and then when I walk back in.

I walk two route in my community. one is about a mile and I do that in about 15 minutes. If I walk another route it's a little more than 2 miles and that usually takes me about 30-35 minutes.

Thanks for posting the link for the GymBoss. I'm going to get one. I've been using the stopwatch on my cell phone but I have to hold it. With this, I'm going to get the arm band. Again, thanks!

They all come with a clip but these timers are small and I put mine in the pouch of my handheld water bottle.

Thanks for the link. It sounds just like what I need. It looks like a clip-on model. I typically put my pedometer in a front pocket and use the attached clip (on a short cord) on a belt loop or pocket edge. Does the Gymboss timer come in models other than a clip? I guess I can look that up, too.

I don't usually wear a watch. For several months, I've been using the clock on my pedometer for timing walks and just knowing the time in general. Because I'm new to this program/team and want to do things right from the beginning, I'd like to know how to keep track of time when I'm walking and jogging.
Should I get a cheap plastic watch with big numbers on it so I can quickly flip up my wrist and see? Would some type of stopwatch be better? I'm all ears (and eyes) and appreciate all suggestions.
