I am finally in week 8!!! I completed day 1 yesterday and will try for day 2 on Sunday. The 5k race that has been my goal all along is on December 16 so I still have 34 more days to prepare. At this point I'm confident I can walk/run the 5k but I seriously doubt I can run the whole thing. My goal is just to finish and if I need to walk in order to finish then I will walk.

It ended up taking me 16 weeks instead of 8, but I finally ran 5K today! I was worried when I ran day 1 on Tuesday and my knee really hurt at the end of the run. I decided to take two rest days and just go for it and I was able to do it without walking and just a little knee twinges. YAY!
