Well today I tried the App C25K (Couch to 5 K) and it it did tell me when to warm up jog walk and cool down. It was wonderful. I felt so good . I think some one saw me jog as I heard someone say they should try jogging. It felt good to hear that to.

I did a 5 Min warm up Walk and 5 min Cool Down Walk
Week 1. (20 min total 30 min with warm up and cool down.)
Alternate Jog 60 sec and Walk 90 sec

Day 1 IS COMPLETED I am Just Doing It !!!
YA ME!!!
I am keeping in mind that if I feel that I need to modify a little I will, however so far I completed todays training fully. I am determined not to get hurt this time by doing to much exercise all at once. I have changed my story which means I Deanne will follow my training program and not to try to do more then what the program said from day to day from Week to week!!! I Promise myself!!! emoticon

So far this is working GREAT for me. I'm getting the exercise in, feeling like a runner, and being successful instead of failing. I'm going to stick with it. =)

Thanks for posting this! I, too, have tried a C25K in the past and have gotten so frustrated that I couldn't make it the full time it said to in the time frame I was supposed to, so I ended up quitting. Knowing I'm not alone in this and seeing how you plan to modify it is awesome! I think I may have to "borrow" your idea and give it another go. One foot in front of the other, right?

HI. I have been working on this C25K FOREVER but can't seem to get past the 3 minute mark. I LOVE C25K, and feeling like a runner, and I love how doing it makes me feel.

BUT I've decided to just increase by 10% increments instead of whole minutes at a pop. I'm going to stay at run one minute, walk 4 minutes all month, then next month, my goal is run 1 minute 6 seconds, walk 3 minutes 54 seconds...and forever after I'm going to increase by 10% until I can run half an hour.

Call me nuts, but this is what I'm going to do. =)
