I completed wk 3 d 2 today, 38 minutes for 2 miles. It felt fabulous, and I am going to do wk 3 d 3 tomorrow to catch up to where I should be. I have been slacking on the weekends, and I need to stop doing that.

I like being told what to do on the different days. It challenges me. Just bought some runners gloves made to use cell phone while wearing them. Thank you costco

I will be in week 3 tomorrow, I am already walking 2 miles several days a week, so I think the end of this week going into week 4 is where I'll need to put in more effort. Wish me luck!

Week 3 was a total bummer for me! I only go the first workout in so I plan on repeating that week this week and then getting Week 4 done. Unfortunately, I have to leave town during week 5 to a place that's very high altitude, so I prefer not to exercise while I'm there. I guess I will do Week 5 when I'm in a better place to do it, and obviously I will have to postpone my virtual 5K race :(
In my mind, all these delays don't really matter, I just need to complete the training one day to be satisfied :)

This is my third week at week 3. Being out of town, coming back to a dead furnace which had to be replaced and dealing with the mess of that got me so off track. But finally, I have one more day of training, which I will complete on Saturday, and I can say good bye Week 3 and hello Week 4.

I work downtown in Chicago and usually do my walking during my dinner hour. Since today is Friday, there are so many folks at the various restaurants, or who are waiting to get in. I was a woman on a mission, I was either wending my way through the crowds or power walking through the crowds. It felt great. Looking forward to finishing this week and starting Week 4.

This week should be a breeze, but I need to make sure I can do this fast enough. Oh, never mind. It's at my own pace. Have already walked this much before, so i never limit myself to just doing 30 miuntes, etc. But it does depend on how hot it is outside!

Phew! Just finished week 3...I am so glad I didn't break training and walk in a 5K today! My favorite local cat shelter's 5K was today, and it was so tempting. But I have a habit of rushing things so for once am sticking to the plan. Good thing too, as this last walk left me pretty tired! emoticon

I just completed week 3 day 3!

I'm a little confused though, and would like some advice. I mapped out my route using the fitness map on SP and it was 2.25 miles. The pedometer on my iphone, though, said it was 2.7! Which do I believe and track? I've been tracking what the pedometer says but I fear I might be crediting myself with more than I'm actually doing.

Goodness, do take care of yourself.

There is nothing wrong with staying on a particular week for a longer time unitl you are able to master the mileage/time for that level. It may keep you from injuring yourself on higher levels.

I am on week three, been stuck here awhile as I had surgery on the 5th. Then on the 9th I passed out onto the bathroom floor. Hurt my knee on the way down. So I am working my way back up to more than 2 miles. Hoping to complete week three this week so I can move on to week 4 next week.

Sorry I haven't been around lately but the school district keeps calling me in to sub or to help out in class. I had to stay home today because my son was running a 102.6 temp yesterday at school. Robert's temp broke at 9 AM this morning. So he will be going back to school tomorrow. I have stayed the same for the past three weeks. I am glad because I have not been able to work out any because of the subbing. I will start back working out on Friday and hopefully no obsticles will come around this next week.

I hope everyone has an Awesome Evening with whatever you do.

Sorry I have been MIA this last week. The supervisor at the school was on medical leave for surgery and I had to fill in. So I didn't get a chance to go by the fitness center to work out. I'm just so grateful that I didn't gain any this week. I was looking forward to working out this week at the fitness but received a text to do lunch duty all week. I was talking to another worker at the school who was doing recess duty today, Thursday and Fri. So I asked her if she could trade duties with me. She said yes so that she didn't have to be outside. So I am going to hit the gym tomorrow after dropping Robert off at school.

Good Evening Everyone,

Today I took Robert to school and then went to the gym and worked out.

I spent 67 minutes on the emoticon treadmill. Then I rode the emoticon bike for 40 minutes. Then attended the emoticon Silver emoticon Sneakers emoticon Class for One Hour.

After school my son Robert wanted to go to the gym to work out and I worked out on the weight emoticon machines for 10 minutes.

I lost 5 pounds this week. That makes 13 pounds down in three weeks.

Hope everyone has a good Day with whatever you do.

Week 3, Session 2.

2 1/2 miles, 50 minutes. It was in the 40's and just breezy. It felt wonderful! I forgot to track, so once again my dates are off. If I understand this correctly, the only way to correct it is to start all over.

Tomorrow we're supposed to get a snowstorm so even though it's not advised to do 2 days in a row I'd better anyway.

Happy walking!

emoticon I've landed on week 3. However, we've got horrible winds today (and expected again tomorrow). I haven't walked since Saturday so this really bothers me. The school is closed on Monday (4 day school week here) so no chance of an indoor walk.

I guess the next best thing will be to get on the gazelle.

So one of my good friends and I are gearing up for week 3 tomorrow. I am excited!! It's funny she is skinnier and weighs less than me, but I'm in better overall shape. I know that my endurance is better. As we are winding down from walking I'm ready to run and she's tired. We are planning on starting the C25K plan in a couple of weeks when we finish this plan. I keep wanting to jog now, but I don't want to push her. She needs conditioning and to be honest so do I. I don't want to injure myself just because I think I can do something too soon. So we'll do week 3 and steady as we go we'll get to the end of this plan. Good luck to everyone else starting week 3.

Hello everyone! I started week 3 today, and this time, while walking for 30 minutes I added 4 minutes of jogging every 5th minute starting these intervals at 10 minutes. I can't believe I jogged!!! Got a long long way to go though. This holiday season has reaked havic on my diet plans. I'm not very good with temptation at all, but I try to make at least 1 healthy decision every day, then I'll go to 2, then 3. I have to do everything in a step process for me to stay after it!!! I am also down to 1/2-1 cigarette the last 3 days, but I'm so scared to just throw the pack I have away!! I'm on Chantix and it has worked wonders. I just started my 4th week. Anyways, I hope everyone continues to have a blessed holiday season. emoticon
