I'm trying to lose 20lbs as well. According to SparkPeople I need to eat between 1200-1550 calories a day and burn at least 242 calories a day. Zumba, according to someone entering it into the fitness list, burns about 260 calories for 40 minutes (which is what I workout currently) But I also add a 10-20 minute walk afterwards.

I think to start, do a few days to a week on easy: 1 20 minute beginner and work up to 2 20 minute beginner workouts. Then after another week of that do 1 20 min. beginner and 1 20 min. Intermediate. Once you get into it boost up to 2 20 min. Intermediate workouts a day.

I am currently doing 1 20 minute Intermediate workout and 1 20 minute Expert workout (it gets harder, and dancing/rhythm helps!!) Monday - Saturday (Sunday off) and next week hope to start the 45 minute Intermediate on my Saturday instead of the 2 workouts.

With anything don't just jump into a harder level... I noticed with Zumba especially you will need to know the basic movements first. Also, I don't know if you played with the game yet, but don't bother with the dance training section. You don't need it. I figured it would help and it didn't. It is fun but doesn't have much to do with the first few workouts.

If I want to lose 20 pounds in about 2 months or 2 1/2 months. How long do you think i should do Zumba? How many minutes and how much weekly?
BTW i already have down the eating right thing! :)
