Good job on your times - even if you had your own private mile LOL. So proud of YOU!!

So, I went to Columbus, NE this weekend to run in their Downtown Runaround. I knew from looking at last year's times online that this race was really competitive. I even told my family that there was every possibility I would come in last.

Well, I quickly lost the lead pack after the start and was running in my little world most of the time. The strange thing was that my mileage times were actually some of my best. I did my first mile in 12:33, which for me was really fast. I passed the 3 mile mark at 38:24 and was pretty proud of myself because I was running at my fastest pace ever. Then it happened. Being by myself most of the time and not really knowing my surroundings, I ended up taking a wrong turn. I went about a half of mile before I realized I was not in the right spot. So, I ended up turning around. I basically added another mile to my race. I felt ridiculous, but what are you going to do...
