About to head out for W5D1. I feel like this run is a *bit* of a break, since although the intervals are each four minutes longer, there are only two intervals the total is 10 minutes shorter! But we'll see how it goes before I get too excited about it... hahaha...
Then I can worked on getting amped up for the next two bigger runs and finish this program off strong. ;-) Happy running! "Everything in moderation, including moderation."

W5D2 done, but it was ugly. Added 4 extra minutes walking between the 2 run intervals to relieve a sidestich. Had to really slow it down during the second run interval too. Maybe I should repeat this one before moving on?!? Not sure. Guess I'll just see how it goes on Friday.

Did W5D1 on the treadmill today. Less running on this one (saving up for later in the week, I guess), so it was pretty easy going!! Can't believe that in one week I will be running 60 solid minutes!! Super psyched!!

Good Morning!
Just posted a blog on my 10K experience. It was amazing and difficult and painful and beautiful all at the same time. My 10K run was also my Week 5 Day 3 - and then some. LOL So.... what are you guys going to do once you're done with the B210K???? ~Kerri~

I somehow missed this thread altogether, sorry!
Jessica, Wow, congrats on finishing week 5! You are amazing! I still haven't been out for a real run since we moved :( Kerri, hang in there! How did the 10k go?

I finished Week 5 this morning! Yay! It went well. I'm a little intimidated by the idea of running the 60 minutes straight on Monday. But I *think* I can do it! I mean, what's the one-minute walk anyway, right? :)

I ran W5D2 this morning - it felt pretty good except 1)I was cold. I need to wear gloves. My hands are raw. And 2)I had a stitch in my side the whole time. What is that from? Breathing? Stretching? Warming up? Eating?
So Friday will be the last day if intervals and next week is the 60-minute run week. Seems crazy to think I will be able to do that. I guess that one-minute walk is probably mostly mental. "Everything in moderation, including moderation."

You'll be fine, and you have the right attitude - it's training, it's experience, hey - it's your first 10K! It's not about winning it, just getting out there and doing it. Which race are you doing?

Good Evening!
Well, my first attempt at W5D1 was a miserable failure. I set out on an empty stomach, feeling really dehydrated and it was HOT! I barely made it past the 40 minute mark and I choked. I thought I was going to throw up, pass out or both. I was so frustrated that I actually cried when I stopped running. I decided to take a few days off and then try again when I feel like I am ready. The bad news is that my 10k is this Sunday and I don't think I am ready. I guess I will just use it as a training 10K and walk when I feel I need to, or who knows, maybe I will surprise myself and if I take it super slow, maybe I can run the whole thing. I am a little nervous! ~Kerri~

Hi friends!
Well I started Week 5 this morning - I was really looking forward to it since this week we're down to 2 intervals! Fun! Plus daylight savings! So a little light a little earlier! Well I woke up to rain. :( So that was a bit of a downer. But I went out and did it and came home drenched. The run itself is much shorter on Day 1 than what we've been doing. I ran just under 4 miles. I would have kept going to at least hit the 4 mile mark if it weren't for the rain. I was ready for a hot shower and a dry towel! I'm looking forward to W5D2 on Wednesday and hoping for a dry day. Happy running! "Everything in moderation, including moderation."
