Our schedules are busy and we tend to get caught in the same routine. Let's try a 10 minute challenge every day this month. Can't spare 10 minutes? Even spending 1 minute on yourself can really help break up your day and help you reach your goals.

Post what you did today to inspire others! Do one or more of the below things per day.

Spend 10 minutes each day doing one of the following things:

1. 10 minutes of Exercise - Your choice! Go for a walk, wake up early or try to squeeze in at least 10 minutes of movement. Try a new workout if you are tired of the same thing. There are a lot of 10 min workout videos available on line for free. Already exercise 10 minutes a day? Take 10 minutes and swap out your normal routine. Do 10 minutes of weight-lifting if you normally only do cardio.

2. 10 minutes of Meditation & Mindfullness - Take the time to practice yoga, meditate, or simply take deep breaths to try and relax. If you don't like actual meditation, spend 10 minutes relaxing and focus on something quiet instead of the crazy hustle of the day. Sit outside and enjoy nature, light a candle and lounge in your favorite chair, pet the dog/cat.

3. 10 minutes of Stress Free - Take the time to do something that reduces your stress: take a bath, garden, read a chapter of your book, bird watch, or Anything to reduce your stress.

4. 10 minutes of food prep - Look up new recipes, plan your meals for the day/week, or chop up those fruits & veggies before they go bad!

5. 10 minutes of stretching - Many of us exercise but don't stretch. Add stretching to your day to help your flexibility and posture as long as we do it correctly. Stretching can also reduce stress.

6. 10 minutes of social connection - Reach out to someone you haven't talked to in a while. Write a letter. Send an email. This pandemic is taking a toll on some people and just talking to a friend or family member might help boost both of your moods. Emotional and mental health are important too and staying connected can help.

7. 10 minutes of movement during TV commercials - It is easy to get caught up in binge watching tv shows and series. Do some squats or arm circles between show commercials. If you are streaming with autoplay, stop in between each show and do 10 minutes of exercise or movement before moving before playing the next episode.

8. 10 minutes of Spark time - Write a blog, track your food, comment on a forum or other Sparkmember's blog, read some recipes, read an article.

9. 10 minutes of Self-Health care - Take your vitamins, weigh yourself, drink more water, floss, eat a healthy snack, make a Dr appt you have been putting off.

10. 10 minutes of Laughter - Read the comics, watch a funny video online, play a silly game with your family, watch a comedian perform. Some claim that laughter can be the best medicine: stimulate your organs, increase endorphins, sooth tensions, boosts immune system, lowers blood pressure.
