I've been decluttering my house. I took 2 car loads of boxes and bags to Goodwill and burned many calories moving through the house up and down stairs, toting those boxes and bags out. I've lost weight AND my house looks good AND others are going to benefit from what's been donated. It's a triple win-win! emoticon

I have a goal to do a couple of tasks each day to be ready for Thanksgiving visitors without burning out. So, today I already vacuumed the downstairs and I am going to do some mending so that pile will be put away and out of site. It is interesting beccause once I start getting one or two items off my checklist I usually go on to do more!

Today I am healthier than yesterday and tomorrow I will be healthier than today.
I WILL DO THIS!

I was able to convince my mom into making a healthier Thanksgiving dinner. She's even letting me prepare some of the food! Small steps, small steps...

Well last night, I felt pushed to my limits doing strength and wanted to give up but I had my fiance egging me on to do it. Right now, I am so proud of myself. I used to think strength was yucky but I realized it helps.

I exercised for 20 minutes after work again today. In fact, I've only missed 2 days of exercise in the last 2 weeks. For me, that is excellent and I am proud of myself for having re-established the "habit" of exercising after work again.

I used to have the exercise habit, but lost it when I had some health problems followed by a broken ankle 2 years ago. That's how I gained the weight I need to lose again now. So I am really happy about getting exercise going again. Now, I just need to keep going ... and cut back on some of my calories.

I did my eight 8s of stretching
This is where I go through a series of stretching and holding each move for the count of 8 and I do the whole sequence 8 times. It doesn't take more than 10 minutes but I use to jump out of bed and get going for the day. Now I give myself 10 minutes first to do this. After one month, I am getting much more limber and it really helps with the achy muscles from the elliptical I do 3 days a week.

Today I am healthier than yesterday and tomorrow I will be healthier than today.
I WILL DO THIS!

It is a holiday in New Zealand today but I am back a twork printing our local newsletter. Though it could be a good excuse not to exercise I am doing workouts while I am here: there is noone to see me!

For the past few days I have been able to divert my attention away from the kitchen after dinner. That was when I found the time to get into trouble, usually by overeating.

I successfully navigated through Costco without succumbing to any free samples or junk food in my cart. It was really tough, it seems like everywhere I turned, there was some Halloween chocolate or Christmas peppermint bark. At one point, I had to meet my boyfriend in another aisle because I could not walk through the baked goods aisle without grabbing something.

What a relief that it's over, I came home and had cottage cheese and tomatoes for lunch. Now I'm proud of myself and still got to eat something delicious.

I ate a full lunch today even though it made me want to be sick I felt as though my body was rejecting it cause I usually only eat dinner all day not healthy at all! Soon im gonna do my best at eating breakfast and lunch

I walked to pick up my son from school today for a total of 2.4 miles! And I've had 3 glasses of water so far today. Here's to taking it one day at a time!

I just got home from the gym could only fit in 30 min but its better than nothing.I also avoided the candy bar my husband bought me last night and am allowing the 5 kids to split it even though I want a bite really bad!

I did not eat or drink any "bad" unhealthy food. I lost 10 pounds over the summer and joined "HOT for the Holidays" to lose 20 more by Dec. 31.
