Yesterday I had 16,372 steps! 5000 from Zumba. Then I walked home from the gym. Later I walked to and from nail store.

I've been getting more than 9000 steps every day this week. I think it helps that I joined the Jumpstart your workout challenge which has encouraged me to get 30 minutes of cardio daily

I'm doing well, considering I'm so busy with work that I pass out from fatigue after work (been working loads of hours). I woke up early this morning to do a workout and the plan is to leave work on time today so I can go for a run.

Hey Gia! I like the way you build in rest days. For me rest days are still filled with activity, I just slow down. I also keep my tracker on.

I've really upped my walking with this great weather we've been having, although yesterday got quite hot. I have a bit of a sprain so am walking slower than usual. Been stretching and it's getting better.

Do folks have any interest in continuing this challenge? For me it's very inspiring and interesting learning about what others are up to. It gives me ideas on what I can do to keep moving.

5/26: 10567 - back to work. Walking back and forth to work and up and down stairs
5/27: 15066 - moved my office by myself, walking back and forth for hours
5/28: 3002 - leg and foot sprain so stayed at home. Could barely walk.
5/29: 4874 - felt a little better but still in pain
5/30: 16712 - got up early and walked three times around the park and then to the CVS; walked my dog to the further check cashing place from me.
5/31: 9937 - walking around Manhattan

Today's steps 2680 - walking outdoors, store browsing, chores

I'm going to keep track of my steps by copying and pasting into the latest post. It'll be easier to add up the month that way.

5/1: 9494 - walking everywhere at work, taking the stairs instead of the elevator and walking a total of one mile going back and forth to work.
5/2: 10030 - some walking around the neighborhood and lots of pacing with anxiety
5/3: 11406: excited that I didn't have to wear a coat and walked back and forth to my sisters' with my dog under the wonderful sun.

Hi folks!! I see we've hit the ground running!! My steps for yesterday were 9494. I achieved them from walking everywhere at work, taking the stairs instead of the elevator and walking a total of one mile going back and forth to work.

Let's keep moving!!

I'm emoticon today with my trusted Omron pedometer until my Spark Tracker comes in the mail I'm sure that I will get in more than 10 minutes!

6,760 outdoor walking | 96 min.
3,240 on treadmill | 24 min.
Total 10,000 Steps | 120 min.

I continued to wear my pedometer around the house after I reached 10,000 steps!

I have free times in the late afternoon. I can easily meet anyone who wants to join me anywhere that is convenient. I run to the park from my house and I run or walk around the park.

Let's add up our steps and see how we do. Seeing those steps add up can be quite eyeopening and inspiring. You can also add comments as to where you were/travelled to to get those steps. I use a fitbit to track my steps, but there are other devices, including pedometers, that you can purchase. Steps can be gained from activities that involve you moving around throughout the day.
