My biggest stumbling blocks to losing weight is really two fold.

First, I have an awful sweet tooth! I love sweets of all kinds cake, donuts, cookies, candy, pastries, etc...

Second, boredom is awful. If I am not engaged and active at all times my mind wanders and it usually wanders to food. I love to bake in the fall especially. I love to make Zucchini bread, banana nut bread, regular bread and just about any fall food that is a heavy comfort food you can think of for the changing of the weather.

What can I do to help myself resist these urges? I believe that I need to eat more snacks in between meals that consist of carrot sticks, celery, crackers with cheese, cottage cheese etc in small amounts to take the edge off and I need to stay busy. I have got to quit sitting around on my buttocks and get busy cleaning or exercising. I tend to sit on the PC and Spark a bit too much.

I don't know if this will make any sense outside of my head, however I'll take you up on your challenge for writing.

I think me myslef is the biggest stumbling block to my weightloss. It's connected to my condition i guess, but i get started and then hit a complete and total apathy. although i think the root of the apathy comes from fear. And by the time i get out of that whole i have to start again.

Hello All:
Each person is as different as each flower in a garden. Because we are all different, we all react differently to our diets. Our bodies retain weight in different places on our bodies.

What is it in your diet that really is your main stumbling block? Is it a sweet tooth? Is it carbs? Is it emotional eating? What is it that is your personal stumbling block to losing weight and what do you think you can do to prevent stumbling in that area of your diet?
