Jesus said, Love one another as I have loved you.

The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. The Lord redeems the soul of His servants, and none of those who take refuge in Him will be condemned (Psa 34:1819, 22).

I am going to decrease my daily goal to 20,000 steps per day and my weekly goal to 140,000. I have been unable to consistently reach 25,000 steps so I need to lower expectations. I am not giving up, just re-adjusting. My goal is to continue keeping my Active Minutes to above 150 minutes per day. I will also be tracking my mileage and my goal is to walk 10 miles per day. I will also be tracking my floors climbed but as I don't really encounter many floors in my travel I will be interested in seeing how high I can get this number on a daily basis. Keep moving people, I know I will! DON'T GIVE UP!!!

An easy way to find your initial entry is to hold down the CTRL key and your F key. This will bring up your FIND box. Enter your SparkName and hit enter. This will take you to your first entry. Click on the EDIT MY POST button and add your steps for that day. Then just click on the POST MESSAGE button and you have edited your entry! If you have any questions/comments please send me a SparkMail. emoticon again!

A BIG THANKS TO ALL OF YOU THAT HAVE BEEN USING THE EDIT BUTTON WHEN YOU POST!!!
I continue to be very impressed by your daily steps! emoticon

I love all the activity on this thread! Welcome to each and every one of you and I hope that you accomplish your goals this week. I WOULD LOVE TO GIVE A BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO JOINED THIS THREAD THIS PAST WEEK! We were a fantastic 35 strong this past week! That is one more than last week. I continue to be amazed at your step counts, all of you should be very proud of yourselves! emoticon emoticon emoticon

We are still #1 in the Computer & Electronics category?! That continues to be amazing! As of the posting of this post, we are now at (drum roll please!) 122,594 members strong! That is 270 more than last week! Compared to last week's membership increase, that is 13more new members. We are at the midway point between the 122,000 level and the 123.000 level. This team is truly one of a kind!!!
emoticon Holy moley!

On the news front, photos of an alleged new FitBit product, the Charge 3, are circulating on the internet. The biggest change appears to be the lack of a button on the left hand side of the outer plate. The device looks more sleek than the current device. Hopefully this rumor becomes truth.

emoticon Welcome to all of our new team members and thank you for joining our weekly steps goal!!!

Well it finally arrived at the end of this past week. My new Ionic watch! It was 3/4 charged out of the box so I was able to begin transferring my account information to my new device. This was a process. Much more so that with any other of my previous FitBit devices. I changed the watch face. The process to pay and unlock my watch involved some thought but so far so good. I love all of the information that is available to me from my watch. I am able to load music or podcasts on the device and, because it has its own built in GPS, I can leave my phone at home and just run.
Here are the Pros: the altimeter appears to be more true (or perhaps it is due to the fact that the watch is snug against my wrist while my Charge as somewhat loose?). The wrist straps pop in and out of this device. Simple and effective. The life of the battery is amazing. After a full day of use I still have 75-80% power. Now the Cons, the calorie calculations are still too high. I could only hope of burning as many calories as this device says I do. The same with the step count when wrist based activities are undertaken, i.e., shopping with a cart.
In conclusion, I love this device and look forward to a long and active relationship with it!

UPDATE: This watch continues to impress. This past week the step difference between my trusty One and my new Ionic was 1,440 steps or 0.90% difference. That is amazing. Now, was this a one week blimp or will my watch continue to match my One? Only time will tell.

I still continue to lose more weight. I attribute my recent weight loss to a change I made in my eating habits. I love to eat and I never seem to get full. I have to make a very conscious effort to monitor my calories on a daily basis. I begin my day with a light breakfast, some milk and some type of egg sandwich. At work, I don't eat during my breaks, instead choosing to use this time for walks inside our building. I listen to podcasts or music and use my phone to catch up on emails, read, and play games. I find this is very helpful in achieving my daily step goals since I stopped attending the gym (Due to a recent lifestyle change). I drink 6-9 cups of water during the day and eat my "lunch" in the evening. I will have a small dinner later in the evening. I have been also trying to get to bed earlier so this change has definitely helped, too. All of this has resulted in a noticeable drop in my daily calories and my relationship with food. I have literally cut close to 1,000 calories on a daily basis (and sometimes have to push myself to hit 2,000 calories! This is a good change and one not certainly for everybody (or anybody in fact) but it appears to be working for me.
UPDATE: I continue with following this radical plan and it continues to work for me as I am losing more weight. I have dropped 28 pounds in the last twenty-one weeks! Also, I have done some further research into this new lifestyle of mine and think my method can be classified as fasting. Now I am not starving myself, I am merely choosing to stay away from food for a certain period of time. I am still getting all of my necessary nutrition on a daily basis. I am really loving this lifestyle.
UPDATE TO THE UPDATE
I am truly amazed at how this change in eating habits has positively affected me. I have plenty of energy, find myself sometimes "forcing" myself to eat, and getting much more sleep. While my initial foray into the healthy living world back in 2009 was life-changing, this intermittent fasting lifestyle has been life and mind-altering.

Here are some articles that discuss life-changing steps and ideas. It is very inspiring!

One more week in the books! This past week I took a grand total of 150,164 steps or 21,452 steps on average per day. I was active for 993 minutes for an average of 141 Active Minutes per day. I traveled 74.28 miles this week for a daily distance of 10.61 miles and I climbed a total of 37 floors. My activity is being affected by our recent spell of very hot weather, but I continue to break the 20,000 daily steps barrier at the very least. I am ready for next week, how about you?!
