I've been ill with a cold all weekend. I am feeling a lot better and will start as of Monday. Goal is 20,000 daily. Time permitting.

M - 27th: 22373 steps 15.45 k 73 vam.
T - 28th: sorry back to feeling ill again today. I'm under 10,000 today.
W - 29th: 16942 Steps 11.75 k 88 VAM
Th - 30th: 11507 steps 8k 148 vam
F - BOO ... HALLOWEEN 31st: My biggest exercise 2day was give out goodies to the kids. Well worth it! 8.6 K 12456 steps 209 mins. Only 2 VAM's, 8.6 K just walking back & forth from my seat 2 the door! lol
S - 1st: Steps: 15360 10.7 K 62 VAM.

Been on this "Get healthy and lost weight" journey since September 19th 2014. Down 20 pds as of this morning! October 26th 2014. It's a good start!

Going to jump in on this - just started with Spark but have been using the fitbit for a couple years now and LOVE it! I had the One to start with but I kept losing it. emoticon So I switched to the flex - which is much better to me! I can't lose it!!

My goal is 70,000 for the week; will try for 10,000 a day but will be happy if I can get 70,000 overall. emoticon

10/26 Right on!!! I went back to the one after the wrist also. As for motivation, it is a huge motivator and I really try and keep it close to me( I call it "My Buddy").
I shoot for 10 also sometimes I bite it and sometimes it bites me but again you're right.

Goal is 9250 steps at least 5 days per week, with 2 rest days of at least 5000 steps. Weekly goal of 65000, which is doable if I can feel better. Last week I got to 43650. Looking for a better week.

I'm staying at 110,000 steps and 315 VAM. I finally met my goal last week! Hoping to repeat this week! Trying for consistency for the next few weeks!

Continuing with another very busy week and trying to heal my foot/heel. Will have to continue to limit my steps. Hoping to put off the dr visit/x-rays through careful monitoring of my pain and activity levels! Step goal for the week is to stay around 10k per day, less if I am experiencing pain, and to find other ways to be active instead.

I've used my Fit Bit for at least 2 years and it makes all the difference in my motivation. Just keeping track for myself is reward enough, so adding a place to copy each day's numbers down seemed unnecessary.

I am going to keep my daily goal to 27,000 steps per day and keep my weekly goal to 200,000. I will now track my total Active Time. My goal is to keep it above 7 hours daily. I will also be tracking my floors climbed but as I don't really encounter many steps in my travel I will be interested in seeing how high I can get this number on a daily basis. Keep moving people, I know I will! DON'T GIVE UP!!!

An easy way to find your initial entry is to hold down the CTRL key and your F key. This will bring up your FIND box. Enter your SparkName and hit enter. This will take you to your first entry. We are still #1 in the Computer & Electronics category?! That is amazing! As of the posting of this post, we are now at 29,320 members strong! That is 306 more than last week! That is an increase of 24 members from last week! I was tickled this past week when I received a SparkMail from a long-time SparkFriend and she was literally taken aback by our huge increase in membership! FitBit is an amazing product and becoming more well known each day. We are nearing the 30,000 mark. That is simply put AMAZING! emoticon Wow!

I have read a few comments on the message board from team members concerned that FitBit is sending over too many activity minutes to their SparkPeople Fitness Page. I respond to these posts by pointing out that FB syncs over FAIRLY ACTIVE and VERY ACTIVE minutes. These are periods of sustained activity (approximately 15 minutes) where (in my case) more than 500 steps are taken (MODERATELY ACTIVE) or more than 2,000 steps are taken (VERY ACTIVE) are registered by your FB. While all of these periods may not be "exercise" by definition they are periods of sustained movement and consequently result in a higher burned calorie rate. I point out that this is the beauty of this wonderful device. Not only does it count steps but it provides a wonderful picture of the amount of calories your are burning on a daily basis as a result of your whole day's activity. I realize this may be thought as "cheating" but it really is not. You are moving, you are burning calories, and that is an important component of losing weight/maintaining a weight loss.

Another week in the books! This past week I stepped a total of 221,888 times for a daily average step count of 31,698. My total VAMs were 567 or 81 VAMs per day. My total Active Time was 54:12 or 7:44 per day and my total floors were 29. Looking forward to the new month and remember let's keep moving!
