When you get to a plateau, think of it as a landing on the stairway to your goal. And
maintenance is a lifelong plateau, so a bit of "rehearsal" for maintenance isn't the worst thing in the world

It will next week or the week after before they get the blood work done. I hope they find nothing or something that oral antibotics can fix. I do not want to be in the hospital during the holidays.

I am not tracking food again yet. I was in the hospital last night and they did a bunch of blood work to see if they can find an infection.

i am usually around 34 as long as i have fiber 1 cereal for breakfast!!

My range for today was 25-35 grams of fiber, and I ended up having 34 grams. I have been a little low on fiber this past week, so this challenge helped me get back up there again. emoticon

Happy Monday to you!

Your challenge today is simple: Eat lots of food with fiber.

More and more research is showing that a high-fiber diet may help prevent diabetes, heart disease, cancer and weight gain. According to new research from the University of Texas in Austin, women who maintain a healthy weight fill up (without filling out) on fiber.

How can you get more fiber in your day?

* Eat a variety of foods - the less processed the better. Bran, for example, is a superb source of fiber.

* Eat more fruits and vegetables. Eat them unpeeled, such as baked potatoes or apples with their skin.

* Drink plenty of liquids. Otherwise fiber can slow down or even block proper intestinal digestion.

* Spread out your fiber intake. Getting all you fiber at one sitting may cut the benefits and increase unpleasant side effects.
