My knee is much better and I am able to get my steps in again, but I still have to be watchful of steps down. So it continues to need healing. I will continue to take care on steps this week and see if that gets better. If not, I will see a doctor. But I believe I really strained a muscle and that will correct. It may hinder me reaching my ultimate goal though, because I will have to hit closer to 10000 on several days to get it. Making that goal will depend on how my knee handles doing that many steps.

Wow, Woo Hoo, I found my pedometer! I lost it at the DMV the other day when you have to go through the security check when you first walk in! I went back to see if I never put it back in my pocket, and they had it! I was soooo thrilled!!!

Well....I lost my pedometer today!!! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

So I've already ordered another Omron HJ-112 Pocket pedometer! That was a costly lost item as it cost me $30.00!

So for now I'll have to back out of this challenge until my new one comes in!

I hurt my knee day before yesterday—strained a muscle, I hope. It was better yesterday until I stepped off my DS steps. OUCH! Thus it is a little tender today, and I am noting the other knee bothering me as I compensate with it. I will take it easy the rest of this week, not pushing for 8000 at all, though I will record what steps I get to help the challenge what little I can. Hopefully I will be back to normal next week. If not, to the doctor with me!

Okay, gang. I changed my goal to 8000 as my body is not ready for 10000. I will work to increase consistency at 8000 through August, along with ease of getting at least that many steps in each day. Then I will try increasing to 9000 in September and 10000 by October.

It's not been a good week, knee-wise. I marched in a short parade last Sunday, and I think my knees went into stunned shock because they have been screaming ever since. And I haven't been wearing my pedometer. But I'll wear it next week, and see how much I can walk.

Week 1: my goal is to try and walk at least 10k each day regardless of if I can get outdoors & even if I have to march around the inside of my home. emoticon

So far, I've kept to my new weekly mantra and gotten back outside to reclaim my long morning walks, where I do my best thinking and organizing.

Hi Team,
How about we try something new with a spin. We continue to add in our daily step totals to reach a team goal but we also- Create a weekly personal goal to help keep us accountable to get those extra steps in.

What do you think? I am looking for suggestions on how to make our team stepping challenge more fun so fire away with the ideas.

Since reviewing my own step numbers I see me skipping the morning walks these past few months have my numbers down too low. So I am determined to get some morning walking in each day. So far I am on a 2 day streak! emoticon
