We'll, I guess that Daily motivation was really helping me with accountability in January. I gained back half of what I lost. Could we have in March a second challenge? Mileage isn't a fit for me in this cold. Wii Zumba and weights. I could help out with managing it, too. Thanks for giving it dome thought.I'm open to any suggestions.

Awesome, Linnea! That's great and the ultimate goal of the challenges! I'm still not done tallying up the points for January, I think I made it too complicated and/or I've just been way too busy the last couple weeks. Ugh, I will get it done this week though, so stay tuned!

I ate Pea Pods with my dinner tonight. emoticon

I went to the gym after work, but my more significant action for today was powering through a pile of work and getting a lot more done than normal. Granted, there were deadlines helping to push me along, but I still got a lot of extra stuff done that I could have easily put off. Getting caught up at work is one of my top priorities right now (primarily to get rid of the extra unneeded stress of being so backlogged).

I love to cook and hate spending time and money eating out, usually. Yesterday's action: listened to my stuffed up head and chest and let my husband cook, which gave me time and energy to walk the dog a bit.
Ate the rest of the asparagus, greens, banana, red peppers.

Great job, VIDABUENA2010 and HMAZIS! I ate Iceberg Lettuce with my lunch today. I know a lot of people aren't fans of that variety, but it's really one of my favorites. I love the crunch and water content; it just seems fresher to me. My action tonight was spinning at the gym (again, less than usual per doctor's recommendations). I'm going to need to lower my mileage goal for February. At least psychologically I'm finally coming to terms with the fact that I'm not going to gain weight just because I need to decrease some of my exercise for a few weeks. It's always more about food/nutrition anyway. I just like the stress reduction that accompanies vigorous exercise.

I ate celery, a banana, broccoli, peppers and strawberries. I did something I hadn't done in a long time! I worked out in the evening when I'm usually so tired I can't see straight. After finding these no excuse indoor walking workout videos in the morning, I promised myself to give it a try LATER when I wouldn't wake anyone. So, I walked and listened to the State of the Union, and loved the extra energy it gave me to finish my day. Also, my younger son was already asleep. So, no interruptions!

I ate Green Beans with homemade chili on it for lunch today. I did strength training at the gym tonight, but I think my true action step for the day was unsubscribing from a bunch of e-mail newsletters. I've been putting that off forever. Hopefully that will help me clear out my inbox and free up some space in mind, too.

I ate Bean Sprouts with my Pho for lunch today. Hmmm, are bean sprouts a vegetable? If not, there were also Carrots and Broccoli in it since I always order extra vegetables with mine. Action step for the day was hitting the gym right after work.

I ate Asparagus tonight during dinner. Action for today was continuing to setup my profile at HabitRPG.com . It's a "gamification" site that I'm going to use to continue to develop my healthy habits and manage daily tasks for both SparkPeople-related stuff and a bunch of work stuff I'm tackling, as well. I love games.

I ate Sweet Corn and Roasted Peppers in my omelet today. My action for today was working out at the gym and trying out the recumbent bikes there again. I definitely prefer the spinning bikes since they feel the most similar to my real outdoor biking. But, temporarily the recumbent might help take a little more pressure away from the ball of my foot. We'll see!

I know what you mean about taking a day off from exercise being hard to do! Same for me! I was forced to do just that the last couple days with my cold/flu. I broke a few streaks in the meantime. But, I guess that'll teach me to be more gentle with myself when I do break a streak. A lot of things are out of our control. Yes, it's taken me about 48 hours to be OK with that, hahaha! My temp was low enough today that it seemed like it would be fine since I wasn't having any trouble breathing either. So, my action step tonight was spinning at the gym. I ate Green Beans during lunch today. We'll see if the exercise was a good idea, or too soon, tomorrow morning!

I ate Spinach today with my lunch. Recovering from a bad cold/flu. I spent all yesterday in bed and on the couch with a fever of 103. I definitely feel better today, but still under the weather. Hopefully, that fever cooked the sickness out of me!

My action item today was that I ate a fruit smoothie - banana and strawberries to be exact. Very tasty! I also ran on the treadmill - did a full 1.25 miles at 5 mph without stopping. Thinking bout doing the Get Lucky 7K in march or at least the Earth Day 5K up in St. Cloud on Easter weekend! I feel so good after doing 5K's!!

Today was a great day to be outside (relatively speaking of course)! But, I caught a cold so I stayed inside for exercise. My action for the day was spinning at the gym, since cardio usually helps me heal quicker. *crosses fingers*

I ate a bunch of Green Beans for lunch today.

My action step for today was a 50 min walk outside at Como Lake, twice around and 30 mins of the elliptical

My action for today was preparing and tracking food beforehand to take to a dinner party. My official weigh-ins are Monday mornings, and I knew nothing on the menu tonight was going to be conducive to meeting my weigh-in goal Monday morning. I still had plenty of treats with me to enjoy myself and share with others.

I ate Kale with my eggs for breakfast this morning. Kale is kind of weird tasting to me (as opposed to most vegetables, which I crave). But, I like it in moderation. I think I prefer it in baked "chip" form.

Happy Friday everyone! My action plan today is to eat my fruit and veggies - got a banana,an orange and some cauliflower today to go with my root vegetable soup. Will be a struggle this weekend - they always are because I'm not on my normal routine. UGH!

action step today- walked 3.5 miles after work
For fruit and veggies I had- a large apple for lunch
carrots and snap peas for a snack when I got home from work, and grapefruit for an after dinner snack and a greek salad with dinner!

I can do it!!

Action yesterday: walked two miles down Chicago and back
Fruit and Veggies yesterday: broccoli, grapefruit, apple

Action today: still to come...
Fruit and Veggies today: the rest of the broccoli, another grapefruit, another apple, and a carrot and apple salad for dinner.

My action step today is to drink my water, eat my fruit (i have an orange, apple and cantaloupe to eat) and my veggies (i have a yummy stir fry for lunch). Already been to the gym this morning so its a good day!

My action step toward my goals today was tracking all my food. Granted, I do this almost every day, but it was a little more work today since I was tabulating and creating a very low sodium homemade chili. I ate Tomatoes, Celery, Mushrooms and Green Pepper today via our homemade chili.

Busy weekend so I didn't get a chance to post. I didn't eat the best. BLECH! But to get back on track for my goal, I had some cantaloupe this morning and have an orange and and apple for snack. Dinner tonight is a veggie packed stir fry. YUM!! Was at the gym this morning sweating it out on the elliptical.

My action step for today was to go for a 3.6 mile walk outside! Gorgeous weather for walking.

Action steps: hurt my ankle with a bad fall the other day, so yesterday i walked 5 instead of running. Be careful out there!

I had celery strips as a snack. I know it's stupid, but i only really like celery fresh and cut into strips.

Finally got to the gym this morning first time since before Christmas! Between the holidays and the cold I didn't get there! Walked/jogged on the tread mill and it felt good!! I lost 2 pounds last week WHOO HOO! so I'm aiming toward my goal by keeping on eating fruits and veggies. I have some baby carrots and bell peppers for a snack and an orange for lunch.

My action today was finally making a doctor's appointment. I'd been putting off a number of things I wanted to get checked out for quite some time and finally decided I needed to get in (and take action)! Lucky for me, I was able to make the appointment online and get in and see an actual MD within 90 minutes. I love same day appointments! Plus, I got all of my lab test results online before the end of the night.

Almost forgot to post my action today :) I got my fruits and veggies in today: Mango, Blackberry and banana smoothie for breakfast and root vegetable soup for lunch. Snack was pineapple and some cantaloupe :) I'm out of pineapple now and need to get to the store now that its warmed up a little bit.
