Skipside, YIKES!

I trust you are working with your Dr on this one! The only thing that keeps popping into my head is laundry detergent reaction. But I know very little about hives.

I hope you get this figured out soon, and keep us posted.

What I said originally:

.... that's the minimum but really am going to challenge myself to see if I can set a new personal best (which I think means that I need to pass 2500 and start shooting for 3000 monthly,but maybe I'll save that for a longer month).

Now ------I'll be happy if I do anything even remotely respectable.
My exercise program during much of the first six weeks of this year got hijacked by snowshoveling. I only kept track of the big chunks of time and that totals over 25 hours so the real amount I don't want to know. It is good cardio but it wipes me out and so my regular exercise plans get shelved alot. You'd think I'd atleast lose more weight but I'm still stuck on this 5lb yoyo plateau...sigh, someday it should start to pay off ....

Just when I'm sick of shoveling the winter becomes less huge storms and more reasonable. Hooray! So you'd think I could get back to a little more normal variety and have some fun.....but no. This month I've been breaking out in horrid rashes every time I try to do cardio (so shoveling this month has been rewarded by itching rather than weight loss - nice, huh?). It continued to get worse and I've just learned that I've got a recurring case of hives for reasons as yet unknown. It starts to go away and them I try doing cardio and it blooms out worse than before. I've started taking antihistamines but that has only managed to make it less itchy (which is a blessing) but the hives keep recurring and spreading. So cardio is very limited for now.
Even if I get warm while doing strength training I will break out, just not as bad....so in midwinter I'm doing strength training with fan on and dressing like its midsummer.

I refuse to let it derail me so I'm just plowing ahead, though at lower intensity than I'd like, and just trying very hard not to scratch :)
OK, on the plus side this extra "downtime" has forced me to stop procrastinating and finish setting up my exercise tracking spreadsheets for 2011. It makes keeping track on challenges info so much easier. It is actually motivating me to make use of the extra time getting some other dusty to-dos started or done... ah the freedom of not having so much hanging over my head... a good thing.

But exercise , well something is better than nothing. (and if it weren't for that snow that couldn't be ignored, I'd probably have skipped cardio for most of the month to avoid the itching...so does that make it a positive?? LOL)

2/1-5 week = 420 (75% snow)
2/6-12 week = 370 (34% snow; 55% strength)
2/13-19 week = 465 (90% strength and only 6% snow, thank goodness!)
2/20 ....100
2/21..... 45
2/22..... 85
2/23..... 45
2/24 ....60
2/25 ....60
2/26 ....45
2/27 ....115
2/28 ....20

Total fitness minutes down: 1830
Total fitness minutes left to goal: 170

Under by a little but happy with the results
considering the unforseen "month of the hives" nonsense that has been ongoing.

I have passed my goal of 5000 minutes for February. I have done 5020, but will keep on counting. Think I will reset my goal to 6000

Woo Hoo - everyone did such a great job in January lets all go for it again!

The base of the Mediterranean Pyramid is physical activity. This is a personal challenge designed to help TMW achieve a more active life style. You will be competing against yourself.
