*LOL* it's actually a great workout! I scrub and towel dry them. (ONLY 1 time/season other times I mop like normal) By the end, I have sweat pouring from my head and down my back.

... now if only TRACYDUKA would scrub my floors, perhaps I could be stress free...

Great week everyone! I took a nice walk yesterday morning before our friends arrived from Virginia. Beautiful weather here in Massachusetts! Just me, my ipod and the open road. Lovely!

Getting my "To Do's" done is helping with stress. By the time I go to bed tonight I should be stressless. We're going to a potluck supper and I'm bringing dessert. I know that will be good. I'm bringing mixed fresh berries and non-fat vanilla yogurt. That will give me incentive to go easy on the main course, what ever it is. Now if only I had some cool parfait glasses to serve it in.

I watched the Incredibles with my son. :) We sat and cuddled on the couch, and I felt all my stress just leave me and I felt good the rest of the day. :)(yesterday)

I had to take a road trip that must have really stressed me because I ate so much junk food. My destresser was to make a huge salad with greens and lots of veggies.

My stress reliever yesterday was my Mom. My son has been in a serious FUNK the last few days and he's truly been a screaming monster. And lately my Mom has been is favourite person. So she came by yesterday and played with him so I could "relax". Which it really worked. Today though....Yeah, I'll be scrubbing my stress away today...when I can get him to take a nap. :) For now, it's watching him terrorize my living room.

My de-stressor yesterday made for a nice change of pace. Yesterday instead of eating at my desk I decided to get out and take a walk. It was hot! But I walked around Boston Harbor (HaaBaar) and it really broke up the afternoon for me. It was time to go befor I knew it. Very nice. emoticon

I am feeling the stress that summer is almost over for me.
I am going on vacation next week so I can be ready of all of the College kids to come back to campus. We start with sorority rush and the rest of the kids move in the dorms. So my nice slow summer at work will become very hectic. I destress at work, by bringing a book and going somewhere quiet for lunch and reading for a half hour or so.

My de-stressor for today is keeping a list of everything I need to get done. If I try to track it in my head, I'm anxious and distracted all day. So I spent some time this morning writing down everything and scheduling my day. Made me feel better, but I know having a schedule is more stressful to some people. It works for me emoticon

To de-stress I usually read. However, this week, I'm finding that getting on my hands and knees and getting an ultra clean kitchen floor has been a HUGE stress relief. Even though I'm nasty and sweaty by the end of it, I feel so relieved when I get to take a shower. :) Today, I'm tackling our boxes of books and my son's room.

**Do Not Try This At Home**

To de-stress last night I had a Steak Dinner Salad, Skinny Cow Ice Cream and a big bowl of Cocoa Krispies with Almond Milk.

I do not recommend this, but it worked last night and I'm surprisingly down 2 lbs on the scale. emoticon

I turned to one of my favorite destressers: my tatting. I finished making a bracelet with flower beads for my namesake and now I've started a cross. I feel better as my mind floats and fingers fly.

Recording food, recording exercise (never mind actually doing it), reading articles, planning meals added to an already busy agenda is stressful. At least I am retired and my kids are grown and out of the house. I just volunteer too much. I need to tape my mouth shut so that I don't say yes so much. It probably wouldn't hurt that it would make it too hard to put food in either.

I lost six pounds the first two weeks and nothing since then. At least I'm still working at it and for the most part, eating healthily.

I'm definitely feeling the stress crunch over the past couple of weeks. I've noticed that it definitely interferes with my new lifestyle changes, so this week, I'm trying to really focus. I definitely make sure I take some time for myself though, otherwise, I'll drive the whole family crazy! I try to take some time in the morning to play around online, and then a little time at night to read. It helps me start my day gradually and unwind at the end.

And guess what? This week is almost half over already!

I find the heat very stressful and this has been a particularly hot summer in New England.

I hope that whatever is causing your stress is backing off.

I don't know about you guys, but man am I stressed! I've put on 6 pounds and broke out in a rash that my doctor contributes to stress. Yey! Woo hoo!

For this week's challenge I'd like you all to take a break. Take 20 to 30 minutes each day for yourself. Take a nap, read a book, meditate, whatever it takes to relax. Come back to this message board and tell us about it. Where you able to do it? What did you do? How did you accomplish it? How did you feel after?

Have a good week everyone. This will be a major challenge for me, but we must learn to take care of ourselves.

Libbie
