This goal was pretty easy for me and I apologize for not being more active...I just discovered that this team has goals!! I will be more active and I haven't eaten out this week and don't plan on it!

I am going out of town over night to visit friends and I know that we will eat out at least one meal, as we'll be taking our friends out for dinner. I am going to do something that has worked for me in the past--I'll either split the entree with my partner or I'll box 1/2 of the entree. And I will eat bread or dessert, but not both. Wish me luck!

I should be able to do this except that we have a party to go to on Saturday and I KNOW it is going to be a challenge not to graze on party food all night long! Wish me luck! emoticon

Well I was going to do well at this one... However, my little dog, Gunner, died this Monday after getting hit by a car. Our family was devestated and threw our diet off for a few days. Things are going better now but I am heading out of town to visit my sister. Oh well, I'll still keep it healthy!

This is a great idea. I had already started what I like to call a "fast food fast" and with my goal of eating more "real" food I am learning to like cooking and eating at home.

That's not such a hard challenge. I think it must be an american cultural thing to eat out a lot. I cook or prepare food at home most of the time, 95% of the time, with the odd lunch out when I'm feeling lazy.
Nice idea though :)

I'm glad I checked in today. My son and I have a busy day today and I would have stopped at a restaurant. Instead I'm packing a lunch for us to share in the park, which is perfect motivation to get my laps in while we are there.

With two small children, a full work schedule, and no babysitter, eating in is the only option. I'm right with you! No restaurant meals this week. Go SP Class May23-29! Woohoo!

This one I can do. Being home alone this week makes it a lot easier for sure. I already precooked chicken for the next three days at work. I usually hit a drive through to eat at work but starting last night I took my own food in. LOL my coworkers said my body was gonna go into shock all that healthy food being put in it. LOL. Good luck to all.

Pretty easy to maintain here as well. It's rare we eat out. Last night was the last time we'll be eating out for awhile. It was DD14's "farewell" dinner as she is going to Nana's for a month =( The rest of the week is packing where ever we go (lunch at the park for after T Th gymnastics) and we'll eat at home prior to and after the 4H camping survival skills class on Wednesday and taking DD to the airport. The only place that I have a hard time keeping up with the food/calories is at Church on Sunday afternoons since we eat a potluck after service each week. I always make healthier choices but you never know how someone made something.

Nope, I won't be able to meet this challenge. I'm going out of town Friday and I will be eating out from then until I get back (long weekend).

I'm still aiming to eat healthy, but I will definitely not be at home.

This is a CHALLENGE, but I'm up for it! I packed my insulated tote last night with all my food. No deli sandwich for me today! I have fruit, greek yogurt, a ham and swiss sandwich and a Cliff Bar. We can do it!! emoticon

I think that's a great challenge! I tend to overeat when I'm eating out, so I'll definately try that!

This isn't going to be a problem for me because I have already decided that I'm not eating out at all. For one reason I can't afford to eat out and another I don't think that I could control myself is I was to eat out. Don't have enough will power yet to try going anywhere but home to eat.

WOW! Is it really week 3 already? Well I hope everyone is rolling along well at this point. For the next week I would love to see everyone do one of the most important things you can do early in your new lifestyle. I would like to see you eat out only once this week. I know it will be tough, but you can do it! Try to make food at home, you can always make food ahead of time too! I think you will find that you tend to make less impulsive choices when you do so. Remember, plan what you eat and eat what you plan. Good luck and let us know how you are doing!
