I printed out a lot of tips from here. I am going to put them in a binder (I saw on here to make your own cook book) .

This is a great challenge week. I am using lots of fresh herbs to add flavor to my meals.
I have 3 great cookbooks from the series "Eat What You Love" by Marlene Koch. All recipes include nutritional info, calorie count , amount in a serving and even Weight Watcher points as well as diabetic info. So many great recipes and best of all my husband is not only enjoying these recipes, but several times I have come home from work and he has cooked something from the books. emoticon

Thanks! It has been a process. I like doing this challenge with the Official 'Eat Up, Slim Down' Challenge. It has really opened my eyes. Struggling a bit with calories, but I keep trying! The substitutes help. And the articles on SP help too. Now to get that pesky exercise bit in place...

Week 3 Action Plan
Make smart substitutions. Make your favorite recipes healthier by swapping just a few key ingredients. Try 1-2 of these simple swaps in your recipes this week! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I started an online cookbook with SP and I made a smoothie yesterday with it. I have been using cookbooks online and in the library and I have been planning out meals and sticking to it. Trying new recipes is fun.

My meal planning system has been great! I am sticking to it and I have lost 5 pounds!!! WOOHOOO!
