I've been logging it under Dancing - Fast. SP ought to add it to the list since it is so popular now.

zumba for Wii I must find that!!! when a friend and I were doing Zumba classes with the best instructor she had said we were burning anywhere from 500-800 calories in the hour. We went to another class where one of the instructors wore a monitor and there were times she burned up to 900! I dont know what the high impact aerobics or fast dance comes out to but maybe a monitor would do the trick for complete accuracy emoticon
GGod Luck now I have to go find Wii Zumba!

I use my heart rate monitor (so I know how many calories I'm actually burning)and then manually enter the time and calories I burned. Then save it as a favorite.

I started my Wii Zumba early December and boy was it a killer! I could barely keep up at all and felt very sloppy doing it. Coach would go in one direction and me another LOL! I've been doing this twice a week and now I feel I'm pretty good. I know most of the moves and can keep up. Yeah! I do break out in a sweat too so something must be right.
Keep at it, if I can do it, anyone can!

I got Zumba Wii yesterday and tried it last night. It was pretty cool, I had trouble with the dance steps up to speed at first but after awhile it got easier and was a fun yet challenging workout!

I will most definitely be doing my zumba today! I had my health assessment meeting with a personal trainer and it used up my entire time for exercise swimming! I'm at the gym now and I'm so frustrated that I can't get some exercise in now!!

I Haven't been to the class but have the Wii version (never tried DVDs either but have read reviews saying Wii is a lot better) and I love it! There is so much variation, 30 routines mixed up to make about 3 dozen classes, with a warm up and cool down for each class. You can select from 3 difficulty levels for your profile that controls remote sensitivity and 3 levels of classes that are 20 or 45 minutes or you can do a single routine.

As you "beat" classes by filling the energy bar 4 times by mirroring the instructors moves you unlock new classes and background, you get a score and rating at the end of each clcustomize can customize a workout calendar.

I've been doing doing Wii zumba for 2 full weeks every day (I'm on day 3 of the challenge but saw this thread and wanted to give my 2 cents) and have lost 4 pounds, 2 inches on my arms, 2 on my thighs and 4 on my waist! I just started basic strength training with 2 pound weights on Monday and don't do any other cardio so all the progress is from Zumba.

The classes get me sweating in the fist 10 mins and are really upbeat. I was sooooo sore the first week but as long as I stretched I had no problem doing the classes and today is the first day I woke up with no soreness at all! If you have a Wii (or are able to buy one) I definitely recommend it! Classes here are $10 so after 4 classes (the game is $40) it started saving me money too.

I log under high-impact aerobics too. I just ordered a heart rate monitor watch (under $10 including shipping on ebay) to get a more accurate calorie count and log it manually.

You can get Zumba Wii at any Best Buy, Wal-mart, online or most stores that sell Wii games. It is soooo much fun! I actually can't wait to work out when I wake up!

I tried mine last night!!! OMG it was TOUGH! I got through about 15 mins before I yelled "MERCY!" and quit.
Still I plan to try this ever night(even my dedicated gym nights!), even if it's for only 10 minutes.
I WILL get up to 20 minutes!!!!!!

You could also track it under dancing: fast- that's what a lot of ppl do it under in the Zumba Team.

How do I calculate my 6-hr zumba per week? I tried to post those hours under cardio and it wont recognize it.
