Day 3 completed. Setting these short video challenges is inspired. I haven't been able to face going to a class or to the gym all year and SparkPeople has got me moving again. Very grateful!

First four days I was into it - on the fifth day I ended up depressed and hurting and did nothing but eat and feel sorry for myself. Today, back in the saddle. I was determined to do the video no matter what was going on. My cardio minutes I got in the morning but my video workout didn't happen until 11:50p.m. But I did it. It was important to me to do it on Saturday. Looking forward to Sunday where I hope to do the 6th and 7th videos to catch me up. A bit earlier in the day.

Completed week one today. I enjoyed it pretty much. The video for day 7 was pretty rough. I have not any core exercises in a while, but I survived it.

It was 10:00pm, but I did my ten minute work-out, and completed a whole week of working out every day!
I hope to see some improvement in my numbers on the scale!

Today was day 5 for me. Was not an easy workout, but I did it! Although I am sore and so today I decided not to do additional cardio. I will pick that back up tomorrow. Everyone have a good night!

I've done the workout each day and it seems fairly easy, though with heavy weights it's much harder! I hope everyone is feeling muscles!

I just tried to do the Day 5 video and immediately got cramps in my thighs. I jumped right in to my workouts and seem to have overdone it. My left arm is sore to the point that I'm a little numb. Then the last three days my sister and I started walking around the middle school for the first time in a couple of years.

I like these video's also ! They always put a Spark in me to do something greater cardiovascularly, or Lifting Weights. I am happy for you that you made it thru week 1 especially after those nummy Holidays. Good Luck you can do it. This is my second time around but easy cause exercising and eating healthy feels so good. But I hate my new job so I am eating for stress. I am trying to get my self back fitting into my new wardrobe that I got into 2 years ago.

DAY 7; Whippie- no video for today!! I did complete my cardio and I think I have figured out why I have been almost lifeless the past two days. With my healthy eating, I accidentally cut out bread, you know grains for carbs. Carbs has been the low thing on my nutrition tracking every day. So today, I managed to add grains to my first two meals and hope to figure out a grain for dinner too. I feel much better this afternoon!!

Week 1 challenge was the hardest because I keep falling into the same habits when I'm alone or stressed. But now being my second time around losing weight isn't so bad since I'm nipping it in the Butt literally, because darn it I'm not buying a whole new wardrobe. I feel healthier too!

Just finished day 5 and 6. Day 5 was TOUGH on my upper legs! But it gave me some real motivation. I haven't found the videos too challenging. I can get through them well, and they work me just enough to feel like I'm working a bit. But Day 5 showed me a real trouble spot, and I can't wait to work on it some more!

I'm not finding these workouts very challenging. I've been through an actual bootcamp fitness class and this is way too mild compared to that. I wish Nicole would show ways to increase the intensity doing the same exercise. Easy, Medium, hard.

Hoping to get outside before it gets dark and do a small walk so I don't blow my aerobic walking streak I've got going. So catch you all later.

I've done 5 days of the challenge, and I've learned that my muscles are really weak after so many months or years of not working out. But, that's o.k., because I need to start somewhere and being weak and working on it is a lot better than accepting the weakness and using it as an excuse. I'm also the heaviest that I've ever been, but have been eating more fruits/vegs and drinking more water in addition to becoming reacquainted with my free weights and treadmill. And, and I like it!

I'm on day 5 and feeling great. I'm dropping weight like crazy this week (probably because of this program and because I'm ramping my cardio up a lot from last week). But still, I'm almost already at the half way point for my month goal weight, and it hasn't even been a week!

Thanks Barbara - I want to do the videos, but after 45 min of cardio...I just can't find the time with everything else going on. Tonight, I am going to do my cardio and then my video, I am determined!! I know I need to make strength training a big part of my workout regime, not sure what it's so hard!

Don't think of it as starting over. Just start from where you are. Go to a toning video and do it. Then tomorrow, do another.
You will get on track and get consistency from just doing something.

Just did the workout video for day 2. Did day one last night before bed ... after going bowling for the first time in 4 years. It was good to use all those muscles!
I was trying to find a support group (face-to-face) in my area and have found both I tried to no longer exists. Phone calls go unreturned. I am very disappointed as I was finally ready to take a big step and see how deep my mess goes and try to fix it so my health gets better permanently and I stop the yo-yo. Not sure what I will do now.
Did go to B&N and got the OA 12-step book. It's a start ... one step at a time.

Finished day 5 exercises and cardio this morning. I have some sore muscles, especially in my
"problem areas", but nothing too bad. I haven't been able to get out to walk for cardio for the last 2 days so I got out the old ski machine. Had to dust it off a bit but had a great workout! So proud of myself for sticking to it!!

Eating right and cardio workouts have been fine, finding the time for the videos is harder. Overall, I'm doing fine and keeping up, I like the accountability. Nothing really lost yet, but that's okay, it will come.

The real benefit that I see for me is that I haven't had a migraine since I started and no more hot flashes. I can't count on the migraines not coming back, but every time I consistently exercise, my hot flashes stop. Pretty good reason to keep going.

Day 5 Here - feeling good. I have done a video every morning and my 30 minutes of Cardio. I have had to push myself and not allow busy excuses to derail me but so far so good. emoticon

Sooo this week, I have done all of my cardio (I need to do cardio today and tomorrow to make 5 days total)...but I have only done 1 toning video. I am thinking maybe I just need to start over??? What do you think? I feel like I am being successful with everything else on SP, just not this challenge!
