I once read an article that said people who had a successful weight loss and maintenance had failed several times before. Shoot! This doesn't just hold true to weight loss but other successes too! Choose a plan that you can understand and stick to forever, ask for and give support. Make these changes one day at time. You can do it just for today.

I strive to be kind, understanding, and tolerant of all.

Madison, I'm glad you're here. I know you can do this. I do have to say that I hear what you're saying about being 'real' so you don't set yourself up for failure. But I truly hope that you can start saying some positive things. There is a difference between setting unrealistic goals and creating a scenario where you're bound to fail - a self-fulfilling prophecy. Anyway, you go girl. I look forward to seeing what you do this month! emoticon

Thanks Shelly but in the past I think I've always been skeptical. I have had weight issues since I was born and have make it close to my goal before. The difference now is I'm being honest with myself. Yes I know what my odds are of failing and I don't want to fill my self up with the hype. Raw and real is my method this time around.

Madison, it sounds like you're walking into this thinking you will fail. How far do you think you're going to get, if YOU don't have any faith in you?? I know it's hard, but you'll get as far as you let yourself. You'll have enough barriers in your way, don't let yourself be one of them! We can do this! We will all have our off days, and hopefully, a fellow sparker will be having an ON day, and will come kick our butts off the couch and get us up!! We can do this! But you GOTTA believe you can!

Awe, thank you for your support! I started off the year with some sort of upper respiratory cold which doesn't help my enthusiasm in setting my goals. Honestly, if it wasn't for sparks challenge ending up in my e-mail box I'd still be dragging my feet. Although it is difficult to breathe, I have begun my workouts and will (despite my lack of enthusiasm) try my hardest to get going. I hope this 28 day challenge is exactly what I need to be positive about reaching my goals. Best of luck to you!

You can do it Madison!! We're all in this together, and I'm sure that you (and I) aren't the only ones not sure we can do it. One day at a time!

I'm here because I got the e-mail and for one am tired of being overweight but not confident in my abilities to loose the weight either. I'm hoping that this 28 day challenge will push me in the right track to finally stop sitting on my butt and get moving!
