I am starting this challenge in the hopes of making exercising a lifelong habit. I want to always be in shape and active so I can be a good example for my kids. I never want them to have to deal with what its like being an overweight person. I'm only about 10 pounds away from goal, but this isn't about weight for me anymore; it's about being healthy for me and my kids.

I am starting this challenge so that I can get back my shape after having 2 kids and to put my mind on something else. Over the past 5 years I gained an extra 30 lbs and I actually want to lose 45 lbs. I am going through an unwanted divorce right now and I thought I need to challenge myself and hopefully bring up my self esteem.

Ok, this is the User Experience writer in me talking right now.

i think Spark (and I love Spark) could do a better job of making it easy to know what's required to complete these challenges. First of all, why do the direction of how to meet the challange requirements appear in an email? What's the secret. Two, wouldn't it be great if, when someone joined a challenge like the 28-day bootcamp or the 7-day or what have you, the required exercises just appear in your fitness tracker like your goals do? And to make things super-easy, why doesn't someone just create a 40-minute video that covers the toning and the cardio requirement (there's probably one already made lying around somewhere). That way, whe you log into your Fitness page, it might say "You are on day 3 of your 28-day challenge. Go to today's video." Click it, and it'll take you to the video. Do it, and you're done. I know all this stuff takes money and Spark is free, but i'm sure these videos are already done, and it would just take a few outs of interaction design work.

I am starting this challenge to get back on the wagon, so to speak. I was exercising regularly and intensely, but due to rather overwhelming stress at work lately, I have fallen off the wagon. I want to do this challenge to help me get back into the DAILY habit of exercising. Plus, I am a cardio nut. I never do weight training, and I KNOW I need to begin. I have bilateral bad shoulders, so I have used that as an excuse not to do any upper body exercise for the last few years. This challenge will hopefully get me going in the direction of weight training as well. Those are my goals. I start... today.

Commitment means staying loyal to what you said you were going to do long after the mood you said it in has left you.

Task 1 Down: We all have to start somewhere right? I have decided to do this challenge because I need some kind of regimen that is attainable for me. I work days and nights... I can do 10 miniutes in between ish. My ultimate goal a year from now is to be a size 6-8. For now I am hoping that this will be a way to get into the swing of things and just start moving again. Weight loss and energy improvement will be an enormous bonus. :)

Some of my co-workers and I are starting a "Laboratory Loser" challenge at work. Our goal is to lose 80 pounds in 10 months. We had our first weigh in last week. I weighed the most.=( So I am joining this challenge as a tool to help me lose the weight and change my attitude about working out. Ten months is a long time to hate what you are doing.

I need a kickstart to starting a regular exercise program, and this seems perfect. I'm hoping this will get me into the habit of daily exercise and motivate me to keep moving forward. I am joining this challenge to get motivated and get started. I am 30 and have two kids ages 2 and 4 and want to get back to my pre-baby body shape. I don't really have any weight to lose but desperately want a flatter stomach! I also need more endurance and energy and hope that making exercise part of my daily life will bring those things into my life. I hope to sleep better, be less stressed and set an example to my young girls that exercise and an active lifestyle is an important part of staying healthy and happy!

I hope to re-gain my missing Spark and Momentum by joining this challange. I would of course like to see some weight come off as well. But I mostly want my momentum back. If I can acheive that, the weight will come off.

Hello everyone! emoticon I just started the challenge and my goals are to lose at least 10 pounds with this workout. My long-term goals are to lose 70 to 75 pounds.

Daily goals
1. Walk 30 minutes (treadmill)
2. Do workout challenge daily.
3. Eat 1,200 to 1,300 calories a day.

My goals include:
1) Do 1 10 minute video a day
2) 5 30 minutes of cardio (at least!) 5 x a week - which needs to include running at least 3 days a week and also includes at least 2-3 days a weeks of 30 day shred
3) Track all my workouts and eating
4) Participate in my 2nd 5k on July 3rd
5) Lose 1-2 lbs every week!

My goal is to eat better and be more active. I would love to loose 68 pounds and tone my body. My doctor has concerns about my sugar levels and he says that I have diabetes. I don't accept it because I have chosen to fight it by becoming healthy. I plan to grow older gracefully fit and fly. emoticon I will be 48 years old in November but I am just beginning to live life to the fullness. I have to get into gear. I just had my 49th B-Day and I want to be FLY AT 50!!!! I lost 40 pounds last year with only 20 to go and I fell and broke a bone in my ankle - worse than that I have tendon problems I can't do anything about. Makes me walk funny and I am noticing I'm not losing like before either. I'm hoping this will kick my mojo back into gear. I didn't mention I gained back 25 hard earned pounds too!! UGH it is so much more fun putting it on than it is taking it off - at least for the first couple weeks!

I need a little "kick in the pants" to get motivated again. I've lost 35 pounds and need to lose 50 more as well as tone up my thighs, butt, belly, arms, etc. I'm at a plateau where I've managed to stay for over a month and I feel that maybe this team is the answer.

In my highschool years I lost 40lbs one winter but gained it all back in my first year of University. I'm going to a different post-secondary school this fall and I WILL transform myself into the person I want to be. Active, committed and confident. I used to be able to go for hour&1/2 workouts where they'd fly by before I knew it. Now I'm so afraid to even start a workout because I know I'm most definately not as fit as I used to be. My goals this summer is to lose those 40lbs I gained, and I plan to jumpstart the active component of my weightloss with this 4 week challenge! Then, I plan to learn heathy snacking & eating even while I'm super stressed and studying in school.

I'm here because I need to prove to myself that I have the strength within me to start something and see it through. Gaining back the 30 lbs I lost and then some has been an incredible disappointment to me this last year. But I know now that CONSISTENCY is the key to success - and following this bootcamp will be a kickstart to finding my way back.

I joined this team because I want to get in shape, lose weight, and feel better about myself. I am a college student at home for the summer and want to get in shape. I work three days a week, and I find it hard to come home and exercise. At the end of the day, I'm usually too tired to do anything. I hope this group will help me make exercise a part of my daily routine.

I just had my 4th child less than 3 weeks ago. Five months after giving birth to my 3rd child last year, I was making enormous strides in losing weight...and I felt great, when I got pregnant this last time. I now have 65 pounds to lose. The first 28 days, my goal is to lose 10 pounds and begin getting fit. After being pregnant, I'm very stiff and out of shape. I want this to be a kick off to making enormous strides again!

Hi Everyone so I'm sophomore in college and i've always been heavier set then most i don't think i ever weighed less than 150 in my teen years and I'm 20 yrs old and 208 pounds. I'm so tired of feeling like a prisoner in my body and the day I reach my goal weight i will be cheering for joy.
