I am also working on the couch to 5k so that is my Cardio. I am in a Fitness challenge with friends from high school, I am soo excited. the 10 min work outs would be soo easy for me to do (I work 4 or 5 days a week but can fit the 10 min in easy!!!)

I also enjoy doing exercise videos off of Fit TV (espc the Shimmy, Bollywood Dance or the Yoga AND I just found a great stretching one to do after a work out too!) Problem is I haven't had the ROOM in my living area to really do them well (working on that!)

My goal is to insure my healthy lifestyle change sticks this time. My husband found Spark people in 2006 and we signed up together but never lasted more than a few days. We restarted November 29, 2010 and are succeeding. Going to work the 28 day challenge to cement healthy habits and start a healthy new year.

My goal is to make major strides in my health and well-being by my birthday (July 2nd). And hopefully shed 50+ lbs by that date.

For the boot camp, I'm hoping to keep up with the challenge, complete each week successfully, and even surpass the general challenge rules.

I'm also making a serious attempt to get control of my night-time snacking, which is a huge downfall for me. I know when I get my mind-set right, it will be much easier.

I look forward to making lasting changes in the way I perceive food emotionally and psychologically, and I know that this will take time. Most of all, I'm looking forward to taking ACTIONS toward my goals, increasing my self-confidence and feeling comfortable in my own skin!

In May of 2009, my sister challenged me to a Bootcamp and after that I had lost 10 lbs by June 1st. We all know that when you're obese, the first 10 lbs are easy to come off especially so when you've been inactive and not watching your calorie intake in the past. That really motivated me to keep going on this program. I was on my way down and down I want to go still. In January 2011, I want to do this Bootcamp to start off the year right! emoticon

My toughest obstacle will be to fit it all in my busy schedule. I am committed to getting up at 5:30 every morning to get my fitness time in before the kids get up and my day begins. Also, actually eating the healthy meals and snacks I prepare in advance during my work day will be tough because I often ''forget'' to eat because I get so caught up in my work. I will be setting my alarm on my desktop to remind me to eat and get up from the computer every once in a while.

The approach to fitness has to be that it's not an event, it's a process. You have to be patient and take one day at a time.

1. Q. Why I joined the challenges?
A. To have a daily goal within structured environment with like-minded folks.

2. Q. What goals you hope to accomplish during the next four weeks?
A. Record accomplishments each and every day; establish daily fitness habits; regain the mental state of thinking like the slimmer person I was 6 years ago.

I have lost 36 pounds since the beginning of August and have about 35-40 more to go. My goal with this challenge is to get over the plateau I am in (due to eating too much junk over the holidays and not exercising due to "lack of time"). My goal is to stop the excuses about being unable to exercise just because I can't get to the Y due to the weather or time!

I gained a few pounds over the holidays and went to jumpstart my 2011 weight loss. In the next 4 weeks, I'd like to lose 5 lbs. to get me started in the right direction in the new year! As I've been getting closer to my goal (140 lbs), it's been getting harder to get the pounds off, and I think this 28-day plan will be a good tool to get me going again.

Goals:
1. 10-30 min of cardio 5x a week (even if it's 10 minutes of jumping jacks in my apartment on my off-gym days)
2. Strength training 3x a week
3. 8 glasses of water/day
4. More fruits & veggies! (and lean protein and whole grains)
5. Lose 5 lbs. by Feb. 1st (including the 3 lbs I gained over the holidays)
