Hello! I am new to Spark People and have decided to try the 28 Day Challenge. My main goal is to definitely kick start my weight loss but I also want to get healthy for my kids sake!!!

Hi there! I completed this challenge in January and am back for more!

My goals this time around are to:
1) use heavier weight than the first time I did this challenge
2) lose five "vacation" pounds and keep losing from there

I have decided to start over as a week after I started the 28 day challenge my life got a bit hectic. My husband went into hospital for surgery so its been near impossible to co-ordinate everything but I plan on trying again.

My goal here is to be consistent in a workout program. I drool over workout systems like P90X or TurboFire, but I shy away from making the monetary investment b/c I'm afraid I won't finish the program. I want to prove to myself that I can make it through a program so this is my first baby step.

I am pretty consistent in my skating, but I need to start an off-skates program, so I want to
- Do one 10 minute Boot Camp video per day
- Do 30 minutes of non-skating cardio 5x per week
- Track my food daily

My goal is to
-continue doing 10 minute strength training videos everyday
-do 30 minutes of cardio everyday and swim at least twice a week
-lose a few more kilos
-feel stronger
-slim down my waist line

Week One Goals:

I have 5 Barry's Bootcamp dvds I am going to rotate to go along with this challenge. They are really tough and sometimes I have to go a little slower and do less reps, but I like it. I like watching very fit people do the exercises because I want to be like them. Strong and healthy!

I am here because I am a bridesmaid in a wedding in August and I want to fit into my dress, but more importantly feel comfortable in it! I want to enjoy the day instead of worrying about how my body looks. Also, the fitting for the dress is in 6 weeks and I am terrified that I won't fit into it because of the size I ordered (I needed to lose 1 inch around my tummy)...I thought it would be motivating but it has just caused stressssssss

Day 1 of Week 1

I'm here to shape up before beach vacation in July (not much time!). I am a "rule follower" and am excited to have a set workout every day that I have to follow. I am desperate for something that will give me that kick-start and help me feel like I CAN eventually lose these excess 40 lbs.

Week 1 Day 1:
I am here because I want to lose weight and tone up so I can enjoy my holiday in August and so I don't feel as self-conscious in front of the super cute guy I have just started seeing. I am off uni for 3 months, so I want to ensure that I do something productive, and getting healthy seems a top priority. I hope this challenge helps to keep me in line. Fingers crossed.

Here I am at Week 1 Day 5 & enjoying the challenge emoticon I've been re-doing the day before to correct form & then moving into the current day. Some of the exercises I am unable to do - physical restrictions - but thanks to coach Nichole she usually offers alternate moves. If not, I just keep moving. So far so good. Feel free to remind me about this message when we reach the 20 day series emoticon

My goals for this challenge are to lose a couple pounds for my 21st birthday at the end of this month. I bought a dress that I love but I want to feel comfortable in it.
My other main goal is to stick with this challenge for the full 4 weeks. I tend to start workout plans but never completely follow through with them. This time is all about me and I'm excited to start this new adventure and feel good about myself again!

I have one more class left in school for the semester, and I purposely took the summer off to give myself a chance to concentrate on my personal goals.

I'm really looking forward to starting this today, and I'm definitely committed to losing a lot of weight this summer. I only really started gaining a lot of weigh tin the last 6 years.. before that, my highest was between 140 and 145 which was all muscle (without muscle, 3 yrs before that I had been 120-125).

I want to have skinny pictures of myself at my daughter's birthday on Sept 28th for the first time. I realized that my daughter has never seen me skinny.. this is the me she knows and I really want that to change!

My goal with this 28 day boot camp is to give myself the motivation to get up and move everyday and to try new exercises to challenge myself physically and even though I have been a member of sp for a few years now I have just decided that this summer is the last summer I will be fat I plan on losing a lot of weight this summer and I am hoping that this program will help me get started again! but my 28 day goal is to lose at least 15 lbs if not more through healthy lifestyle changes!! emoticon

My goals for the end of the 28 Day Bootcamp Challenge are:

Loose 8 lbs
Gain strength (increasing my dumbbell weights from 5 to 8lbs)
Feel a difference in the fit of my clothing

My plan to get there is:

Walk/Jog (4 x wk) 2miles a day (totaling 8miles a week) I'm in wk 3, stage 4 of book title: Run Your Butt Off

Complete daily toning/exercising videos (working up to doing them twice)

Tracking my food on SP even if I miss logging on some meals or days.

It's day 2 of this challenge for me, and I'm feeling pretty good! When I did the Day 1 exercises, I was SHOCKED at how tired I was...My goodness, how quickly our muscles get lazy! So I started just in the nick of time!

My goal for this week is to increase my water intake and not skip any workouts! emoticon

I want to be healthy. I have put on weight over the last years, but it is the reasons that I have put on the weight that I want to deal with more than the weight itself. I have become much less active. I have allowed myself to get out of shape and this worries me. If I don't get a handle on it now it will only get more difficult to control as I get older.

i have been walking every day for quite a while, and just increased my goal to an hour a day. i still seem to be missing something in the way of strenght training, though, i think this challenge will teach me so much, and keep me motivated.

My Goals:
-Lose weight.
-Eat healthier.
-Have more energy.
-Improve overall well-being (mind, body and spirit).

I have noticed over the past year that all of the above have been on the downward slope. I've always been "bigger" (see my Spark Page for more details) but lately it's become more apparent to me that I need to make some changes. Tonight I found a blog post on here (titled "400 pounds and skinny?) that really got me thinking. Then I found this group and it seemed perfect as a motivator and guide to getting healthy and meet my goals!

I'm tired of the way that Im feeling and the way I look. I know I can be doing so much better. I need to feel better about myself, I know that is the key to a big success! I've been working out, I joined Weight Watchers about a month ago, and I've been tryin to exercise everyday! So I'm definitely up for this 28 Day Bootcamp Challenge! I want to get back down to what I was when I got married. After 2 kids, I'm sick of the way I look and every time we go to the mall, I always end up looking at the skinny clothes on the mannequins, wishing I was small enough to fit into them. I want to look good for my husband, because I feel bad that I've let myself go a little since we got married. I look at our wedding pictures, and can't believe that I was ever that skinny. With my first baby, I gained way too much and never lost it all. Now that I've lost all but 6 pounds from what I gained with my second, I want to lose the rest of what I never lost after my first. I want to be a hot momma! :P

I really need a jump start. It is over a year since I came back from maternity leave and I did well losing 40lbs but it is starting to creep back up. I need this to kick me in the butt so that I can hit my next goal of getting under 200.

My fiance and I are planning baby 2 as well as getting married next year (or spring 2013). Would really like to feel alot better about myself before this happens.

So I am taking it one day at a time for 28 days.
