Welcome CMMCCLA and all others.

I just finished week 1. This is just what I need to get me motivated again. Looking forward to week 2.

I'm new. I'm nervous. I'm a mom to a 7month old and I was in the process of losing weight (15lbs of the 30lbs I wanted to lose) when I became pregnant. And now I have further to go! So I need to work on my eating habits since I do go to the gym pretty consistently. My sweet tooth is going crazy from lack of sleep (fatigue = craving carbs and sweets for energy). I am ready to get right!!!! emoticon

I needed a regimen that would get me up and get me moving without nearly killing me in the process. This program is entirely doable - even with my chaotic schedule I can make time for 10 minutes here and there. I'm excited to conquer this challenge! :)

My goal is very simple with this challenge. I would like to establish consistency in my exercise habits. I'm hoping with a team setting I will be able to do this. I obviously would also love to lose weight and become more toned for bathing suit season. I have about a month before I go on a canoe trip and I'd love to look better and feel better.

After moving in with a chef who loves to serve me large portions of his delicious cuisine, I've gained 10 lbs in 4 months. With a plateful of delicousness in front of me, I feel compelled to make a happy plate every time! My goal is to shed that weight and then some for a total loss of 15 lbs. Also, I've noticed as I'm getting older the muscle tone I once had is quickly turning to flab (yuck!) so I also hope to tighten and firm by increasing my activity level. I'm going to eat smaller portions (take note chef boyfriend!), walk at lunch every day, and work out at home every evening to help me reach my goals. I'm also going to incorporate more "every day" ways of getting more activity into my routine. For example, taking the stairs instead of elevators, parking further out in parking lots, getting up from my desk occasionally and walking around, walking to lunch instead of driving and spending more time doing yard work. My ultimate goal is to not just make this a weight loss goal but to make it a lifestyle change.

Last year I lost 36 lbs and over the winter I've gained most of them back. My goal is to lose 61 lbs in a healthy way and to keep it off through positive food and fitness habits.

I was in the best shape of my life 2-3 years ago, but college life really ruined that. I would snack all of the time while doing homework, and sitting in front of the TV was the best recreation I could manage after studying for hours on end. But I'm about to graduate, and so I'm trying to change my lifestyle back to a good one. I've been doing REALLY good on giving up smoking, and this website has been helping me with the best. I'm trying to lose about 15 pounds to get back down to 120, but I'm thinking 125 is more realistic. Hey, doesn't hurt to try :)

I just finally started dieting about three weeks ago now, and my goal is to be 115 pounds by the end of summer before I start school again in the fall. I started at 146lbs and when I weighed in today I was down to 136lbs, so only 21 pounds to go. I'm hoping to get a little more strict with my exercising and actually work out every day, maybe giving myself Friday as a free day because I work and have school..

This challenge looks like a good place to start and I really hope to stick with it.

I joined this group a while ago but I'm just now becoming dedicated! I hope I can stick with it. My fiance is currently in Afghanistan and comes home in a month, so I really need to tone up for him! I want to do it for myself as well, but it's nice when someone comments on how good you look! =) I do want to lose about 15-20 pounds total, but so far I haven't been able to drop much. I feel better about myself though, so I'd like to keep that up!

My goals are to stick with this challenge for the whole 28 days. I just restarted, having gone off it at week 3!
I also want to retrain my brain: This is a lifestyle change ...not a diet. This is who I am underneath...I am better in all ways when I live my life in a healthy way....This is who I want to be.New mantra!
I need to loose over 20 lbs. to meet my original 1st weight loss goal.

Although my ultimate goal is to lose the 20lbs I put on, my beginning goal is to stick with a routine and lose at least 5lbs. Rather than setting the goal of how much weightloss I want to see in a week I instead set goals like drinking enough water each day and working out at least 4 days a week. It does help, but too many times lately I find that it is depression that halts my progress and I feel support like SP is what I need.
I am always good at motivating others, but don't have anyone that I can truly go to when I am having a tough time. I have recently been put on a low dose thyroid medication but refuse to let that be an excuse for not losing weight. Anyway, I am extremely optimistic about being part of SP and hope this wasn't too much drama. lol emoticon

i know from when i started trying to lose weight before, that if i can stick with it for a solid two weeks, it becomes a habit that i dont even think about. The reason i gained the weight back plus some is because i just had a baby 5 months ago, and now its harder than ever to make the time to exercise AND pay attention to the things i eat. So my goal this week is to really attempt to keep with it.

Although losing weight is defiantly a goal for me. I would like to use this challenge as a way to figure out and decide what type of fitness program will work for me and how to kick-start that routine. By the end of the challenge I am aiming to feel more centered, confident, stronger and hopefully lighter.

I've put on about 15lbs this winter and that *has* to change starting today! I didn't work my rump off and lose 80+ lbs only for it to come creepin' back due to stress, winter doldrums, and a drop in healthy eating habits.

My goals:
1. Track my food intake.
2. 8+ cups of water every day.
3. No regular soda (hoping to cut it out completely! Baby steps, baby steps...)
4. Exercise EVERY day. No more excuses!!

I thought I would be returning to work this week and get back into the gym which is across the street from my job, but I'm going to be off work another two months. Since the gym is too far (and gas is too high), I need to do something at home.

I'm already exercising on a daily basis, but need some strength training.

My current weight is 206. I had gone up to 209 whew! That won't happen again!

My goal is to be consistent in my workouts and stay on the meal plan.

Failure is the opportunity to begin again more intelligently.
