Hello, my name is Arian and I am here because I am sick of struggling with my weight. I have been overweight since I was in elementary school, but it has just really gotten out of control in the past few years.

My goals here are to lose weight, get fit and make exercising a part of my daily routine.

I am looking forward to participating in this challenge!

My name is Nicole. I have struggled with weight my whole life, and I feel that I truly need to lose weight. My main goal is just to get healthy. Currently, I am considered obese, which is a sharp contrast with my underweight boyfriend. I have told him that he has to wait until I lose at least 50 pounds before he can propose to me, so I guess you can say marriage is my motivation.

My specific goal is to get down to 135 pounds as quickly as possible and to keep the weight off.

Hi bootcamp buddies, my name is Dar and I am here to reach my fitness and weight loss goals. Found it hard doing it by myself. Quit smoking, kicked fast food and processed food out of my life and am learning to create great meals for myself. As a team we can all reach our goals. I need motivation but will help anyone that also needs help reaching their goals.

The Bootcamp sounds like a great way to be accountable. Would love to lose 25 pounds so I can do movements without fears of stress or strain to the joints and back. It seems as though the weight I'm gaining is seasonal. Could be the body defending itself against the cold our city makes the news for it's cold temperatures. emoticon

My Goal is to get off this 1 year plateau I'm on.

Christmas 2009 our family bought a WII along with WII Fit. As with any new toy, the first 3 months I was on the program daily doing strength, aerobics and yoga training. 10 pounds came off in those months. In June 2010 I went for a fitness test and had a personal trainer put a program together for me. The Wii Fit went by the wayside and the walk/run program was started. Over the summer no pounds changed but 3 inches off my waist came off. In November I joined the Running Room Learn to Run program and have been running 6 days a week, every week since. There has been no change at all in weight or inches.

I do all the self talk that says the fat is turning to muscle and that's why, and that i'm getting healthy and feeling better, but it gets very discouraging when the plateau sticks around for such a long time.

I'm really hoping that the 28 day boot camp along with marking down every morsel of food that touches my lips gets journalised, gets this 50+ body kick started. Just 1 pound please!

Hello everyone;

I have been here for a while then gone. Well i am back is what matters most. I know i selected that i want an email to be sent to me when anyone replies to this topic has gone out of hand and overwhelming i have over 300 emails unread from spark alone. I get tired of having to erase them. You know what; that's what motivated me to sign back in and start reading some of the posts. I joined in the first place to see what this challenge is all about. But i am realistic and just stick to what i can do. My goal is NOT to lose weight or gain. I would love to lose my belly. Currently waist is about 34 inches. I do 30 minutes on bike 3 times a week and distance on it is 6.5 miles.

My goal is to start exercising every day no matter what. Usually I start a program and then fall off the bandwagon. I'm hoping with the support of others, that I will keep exercising and make it a part of my everyday life.

My challenge goal is to be able to maintain my food journal at least 5 out of 7 days a week. My other goal is to diligently workout with weights and cardio at least 3 times a week.

....oh and learn to be more savvy with the spark people site, so I can get the most out of my weight loss experience.

You have some good goals. They are specific and will be good motivation. The boot camps are an excellent way to begin an accountable activity routine and fit easily into a busy day. emoticon emoticon emoticon

HI! My goal for the 28 day challenge is, honestly, to help kick start my health and fitness so that I am back on track with my weight-loss plan. Basically it gets me off my lazy butt. :) I am needing to get my weight back down for health reasons, but also because I am becoming a member of our local burlesque troop, will be beginning to perform at the end on March, and would like my weight to be down a bit before then :)

My goals are to be more fit and healthy. Im tired of being tired constantly and just not in a good mood... ever. Ha. Leading by example is what is best for those around us, and I have an 11 year old brother who is pretty overweight for his age. I think if I start taking care of me, then maybe he, who is always following me around and trying to be exactly like me, will start being more active and make better decisions. So lets get this started!!! :D

This challenge started one week after I restarted my diet program that I was doing 2 years ago. After I lost 25lbs 2 years ago, I lost motivation after hitting a long plateau and after my mother was diagnosed with 3rd stage colon and liver cancer, I gained 20lbs in an instant. So I've been going to the gym everyday and eating well and I want to try to use this challenge to motivate me and get me going on the right foot. Good luck everyone!

My goal is too stick with this bootcamp challenge, as I tend to dwindle off half way through, but this time I am going to stick to it - a 10min workout each day isn't much to ask is it?
I will fit in at least one bootcamp video every day, as I can never be THAT busy!!
Thanks for all the support here, xxx

Second time around and I have no clear cut goals other than to make it all the way through this time and with flying colors. the last time I had to drop out because of the flu so this time I plan on enjoying it, and just doing what I can as well as I can but darned well making it all the way through to the end......:)

I'm 20 to 30 lbs over weight and approaching 30, so my goal for this challenge is to jump start some weight loss this winter, so I'll be ready to stick with it and keep going through the warmer months. I like that this can be done indoors, in my own apartment, and I don't have to venture out to the gym or for a run in the freezing cold and potential snow.

My name is Heather and I'm a student at UC Santa Barbara. I'm not new to exercise, but I've never done one of these challenges before. I'm only on day 2, but I really enjoyed the first cardio video! I feel like I actually sweat more in those 10 minutes than I did on my 30 minute jog yesterday! I'm definitely going to keep this up all month and see what happens. I'm so excited to be doing this challenge with all of you!

I am going to stop blaming the extra 40 lbs I am carrying around on the 8-year-old "baby"!

I've been using SparkPeople since Jan 1, tracking food. Now I am ready to take the next step and introduce excercise into my life!
