I've learned that I am really beginning to look forward to jogging in the mornings....how weird! LOL emoticon

...and when they lifted up their voice...and praised the Lord, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endures for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the Lord; So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the Lord had filled the house of God.

Thank you so much to everyone for the support! I have always felt exercise and better eating are the best medicine.

Pushing through another positive day!

I'm 5'8" and determined to make a change now. Ten minutes of fitness daily. Too many times I've fallen off the wagon, time to make long lasting positive habits stick. Can I do it?!

Jen,

You're one AMAZING woman! I had no idea that your struggled with a depressive disorder. It's so beautiful that you chose to bring it out in the open, so that I could understand you much better. Young lady, you're doing the correct thing fighting through this, as exercise dispels depression. Did you know that? Girl you're giving yourself medicine each and every time you workout, so keep it up!

You have nothing to be ashamed of, or embarrassed about, as you are who you are, and God is still tweaking and remolding His Temple, which is your body, mind, spirit, and soul. You're in the best hands, HIS!!!!

God and you are a winning team!!! I'm cheering for you! emoticon

Blessings!

Here on day 21 with morning coffee and it's a struggle recently. I have recurrent major depressive disorder and I struggle with accepting it as real and not me just being lazy. If you know about depression you can understand how even 10 minutes of fitness can be the most herculean task imaginable and so hard to do it's crippling. But I've been trying it, and somehow I've made it to day 21 of my streak. Other things have been falling by the wayside (my desk here is messy and the laundry is piling up), but balance isn't easy and being able to do something during the day you wanted to do or even wanting to do something is an accomplishment to be proud of.

I like doing this, and I like that I like it. The daily fitness is becoming regular, anchoring, something to look forward to that clears my brain of turbulence every day and I like the success. This disease works hard to beat me down every day but I'm getting through most of them. One thing I'm working on learning is not to be ashamed of myself for being like this. Working on acceptance and viewing it as a disease that can be treated not a comment on my character. I take it too personally and I'm embarrassed to have this. I feel people view me as less than I am because I'm this way and not as the competent, brilliant, beautiful person I am.

So that's what I've learned for keeping up this fitness streak, it's much more than just a physical journey. It's mental and spiritual too, you find out a lot about yourself when you commit to such a specifically measured goal.

Luck to all and many blessings.
Love, light and peace.
