I'm just beginning week three. I must say that reading everyone's stories has inspired me to do well. And, I hope that I will feel as good as you all have said you feel when my week three has ended.

I am starting week three today. I have been getting lots of exercise for the last two weeks. We are working on rehabbing a house. We painted two days last week which is a great calorie burn. We have lots more painting this week. I really have to get my eating back under control. If I were eating right I probably would have lost a couple of pounds last week.

I just finished week 3. I have been doing my EA Sports Active 2.0 for Wii 4x a week for at least 30 minutes and I walk with a co-worker at least 30 minutes Monday thru Friday during my lunch break.

After 3 weeks I have more energy and do more stuff around the house and garden - things I would normally do on the weekends. I now go weed the garden a couple of days a week and pick up the house more regularly. I don't sit and watch TV much in the evenings anymore!

My biggest accomplishment that really showed me that the exercise was helping is when my hubby and I had to move 14 cu. yds of mulch from the BIG pile on the driveway to different areas of the yard. I worked for 7.5 hrs last Saturday and 4.5 hrs on Sunday just moving mulch. Before this would have wiped me out for days afterward. This time after we finished on Sunday we went to the greenhouse and picked up some plants and came home and planted them! I got up on Sunday and wasn't stiff and overly sore! I did skip my regularly scheduled workout on Sunday (I figured 4.5+ hours of yard work was sufficient exercise for the day). On Monday morning (Memorial Day) I did get up and do my skipped workout from Sunday. I was going to do Monday's workout in the p.m but my body said take a break. So On Tuesday I did Monday's work out (Tuesday is a rest day for me) and so I was all caught up. I feel if I miss a workout I am afraid I won't get started again so have made my exercise a priority.

So here I go on to Week 4.

So I just finished week 3. I ended up gaining a lb. However, I think that has more to do with mother nature and not because I haven't been doing what I am supposed to. I actually have been doing it well. Last week I added a new video each day so I have been doing 2 toning videos per day 5 days a week. I also increased cardio to 20 min a day/5 days per week. I have been doing different videos each day. I really like these videos!

In week 3 I did one of the SP 10-minute videos (cardio kickboxing), and I also switched things up by trying a cardio line-dancing workout DVD. I've now completed 3 weeks of 7-days-a-week workouts! :D

I to am at the end of week 3. I did not get into the video but plan to start one. Have been working indoors and out. Putting up paneling, plastering, planting grass seed and getting ready to paint.(yea) I have been keeping up with my walking every day. At least 10 mins. or more. I can't believe how much better I feel just from that 10 mins. a day.

so this week didnt go as planned but I managed to make sure I got in 10 minutes or more nearly every day--only missed one! I pulled out the bike & rode it for the first time--feeling it in the quads, did lots of digging & heavy gardening work in the yard & am re-roofing the shed--boy are my shoulders & arms sore. Taking the stairs almost all the time at work--which is a lot--13 floors (double stairs--each flight is 26 stairs) and my legs are starting to shape up a bit. I didnt do one of coach nicoles workouts though--I have done one I downloaded on redbox--i couldnt do the entire thing but I got through 20 minutes of it... with the weather nicer i would rather be doing things outside when I am at home and save the videos for crappy weather!! So onto next week!

Live every day to the fullest-- leave no room for regrets...

I was on vacation, so I was away from my bike. However, my daughter, granddaughter and I did some laps around the track at a middle school stadium. One day, we walked for hours at the Georgia Aquarium, another day involved swimming, and another kayaking!

I've been doing pretty good. I'm going for 2 walks a day. My loop is 1.3 miles. I've been taking my girls to the park rain or shine (they love to play in the rain). And between jumping jacks and the jump rope, commercials go by fast. The girls are doing stretching exercises with me so I'm usually laughing too hard to count them.

According to week 3 action plan, I am to add a video to my routine which I have been doing already. I am actually doing 2 toning videos and at least 20 min of cardio each day (M-F). I really like the videos on here it really helps being able to rotate them! This is in addition to all my other daily activities that I do (from week 2 reflection).

I would also like to start doing a little bit of cardio even on the weekends. I am usually pretty busy so even 10 min would be great. I would also like to get little bursts of energy (quick lunges, wall pushups...) into my daily routine!

Here is to another week! emoticon

Okay, so I went back to a sport I love, though, I don't think it loves me back so much. I found a vb open gym to play at. Last week, I thought I was going to die on the court, but this week, it was better. (Helped with more people there, too!) But, 2 hours went by so quickly, and I wasn't a zombie when I was done. (Stiff everywhere.) So, I sweated and felt good for moving around and doing something that I love so much.

Wishing everyone else luck in finding something you enjoy...the weather here in Calif. is gorgeous! emoticon

Ok - so I've got the 10 minutes down & the variety down. I'm even doing fun things. Now I just need to try one of those videos. I do look at the different strength exercises and those are helpful. I just need to carve out time when I'm on the computer @ home - which is hard when I'm on it ALL day @ work.

I've finished my 3rd week of the challenge and find that I now miss not doing at least 10-20 minutes of exercise- I'm finding new ways to incorporate strength and stretching while at my desk and have replaced my office chair with a exercise ball so that helps, too. Looking forward to completing week 4 anad moving on to a tougher challenge.

This challenge has been so great...it's been a very busy week, so I haven't been able to get out there and fit in a full hour-long workout! The 10-minute workouts, though, I've been able to do...even if it's just walking up and down the stairs!!

This week I am awesome!
I have had a great week with my 10 km training runs & managed to get to the gym x3 times for strength also.
Nicole, I love your foam roller workouts and the pilates moves- I did them in the gym after my strength training.
So I could also say I am losing a bit of my shyness at the gym too.

Though Sundays are my brain dead, swollen knees, no real way to PT/cardio I managed some today.

*5min condensed Yoga as sun salutations.
*10min (cumu) Iron Yoga / upper body weights 2lb.
*5min of Spark's Cardio Kickboxing vid (from memory)
*A set of bodyweight squats
*Half a mile (1480 steps) pacing the cube (cumu).

I also devoured half of Robert Hamilton's book _Earthdream_ which I recommend!

This past week I did a lot of things relating to exercise. I took the stairs at work more than usual; I started doing Zumba I really like doing that because I like to dance. I did workout videos and I walked. I am maintaining my weight that I lost over the last year. I am going to be in a fashion show on 5/21 and very happy to show off my size 8!

I really have to watch my balance so can't do a lot of the videos. But I did decide a treadmill with handrails will help make it easier so I'm going that route. Also going to start using handweights to work on my arms.

I'm finding 'just 10 minutes' to be such a boon to getting movement in everyday, too.
This week we started turning on music after dinner and dancing with the kids -- stuffed animals included, of course. Now they're starting to ask for it -- more workout buddies!

I have had 1 day in the past 3 weeks where I had to really force myself to move for 10 mins in an exercise way- that was Easter day! I guess I did run around a little with kids & dogs but, what was interesting is that, by being accountable to only 10 minutes, I realise how easy it is to just notice when I have a spare 10 minutes, and just move it baby!!

I'm pretty sure I messed up. I'm not sure if I received an email so my 10 min challenge for the 3rd week was to go hiking rain or shine. The nice thing is that we always go longer than 10 min emoticon emoticon . I like it. Have been doing Bootcamp - just finished Day 4 (had trouble breathing in child's pose) - and trying out different strength exercises on land. Since joining I've missed 1 day of exercise - it's suprising how much I like sparking.

My new thing this week was to add the 10 minute videos from the bootcamp challenge. I like them because regardless of how I fel I think "hey, you can do 10 minutes"...especially with someone telling me exactly what to do.

The really fun new thing I am doing this week is going on a zip line and canopy tour in WV with my husband! We'll also be hiking and fishing, so that gives me something different and gets me out of the city for a couple of days.

This week I made a point to do little exercises in my office like calf raises while I read my e-mails in the morning. I also made an effort to go to the gym both Saturday and Sunday. Today my Zumba class when canceled, so I almost walked to the subway to take the train home but instead decided to walk home - 5.6 miles! It took a while but I saw the Vice President's motorcade on the way (I live in DC) and got to pass by all the beautiful embassies.

I did a couple new things this week to get my 10 minutes in. One being trying the day 1 bootcamp video. I really enjoyed that. As well I also did a little tai chi from a video online. It would be cool to see more Tai Chi videos on this website as well. I've also been doing some heavy spring cleaning getting ready for a get together at my house for my husbands work! Eeek! Is all I have to say to that! I haven't been walking as much this week I would really like to get back on that starting on Sunday. Hope everyone had a little bit easier week than my was!! Good luck to all of us in Week 4!! :o)

I'm almost finished with the Lean Month of ChaLean Extreme and just yesterday finished the Couch 2 5K program. I decided to change up my workout a little bit by adding TurboFire. Yesterday was my first day, and boy am I sore today!!!!!! It was fun trying something new and different despite my complete lack of coordination.

Been walking daily and if not outside on my treadmill. Heavy duty cleaning at the house too. Now working in cardio blast and looking to try to the fit, firm and fired up.

Got an extra bit of exercise today, went downtown to pay the water bill and there were no free spots, several people were circling the small lot (like buzzards), I said this is ridiculous and finally found a spot about 3 blocks away. It's such a beautiful day I'm glad I got to walk, also was cheerfully greeted by several shop keepers too!

Did a Coach Nichole ST work out too, I assume that counts toward trying a video. I'll try for another this week too.

My biggest obstacle has been weather. I love to get out for exercise, but the weather hasn't been very helpful. Plus my husband hasn't been feeling well to go out with me. So, I'm trying to be creative. Exercise videos, move furniture, that sort of thing. Oh, how I could enjoy a good long bike ride or a nice run.

Yes, you can!

So this is a little late, I'm getting ready for week 4 already, but that's because I've limited my time on the computer since it tends to take up a LOT of my time that I am utilizing better now. I've broken up my workouts now so I have one really good one in the morning and a light to medium one at night. My biggest obstacle is getting started so I stick to that videos and find that if I have them ready to go in the morning I tend to more motivated to do them. Once I get started there's no stopping me! I've lost about 5 lbs since starting this program and am very proud of myself. I even changed my goal weight from 120 to 116. Although I think I will be much happier with the way I look at 116 I don't want to loose my momentum since Im so close! Good luck everyone and stay motivated!

EMIJOSMOMMY, I've found that the saying "day by day, step by step" works for me and maybe can help you too. Just take each day as it comes and not worry about what didnt happen yesterday but what can happen today. Each step, every little bit you do, can help emoticon . Stay encouraged, and if something didn't happen today, try it again tomorrow. Believe it or not, dancing is a great start and even better with the baby. 10 mins around the block, 10 mins dancing, 10 min of anything is a great way to start!

This has been a horrible week...diet & exercise wise that is. Monday I found out how "fit" I am by going to the gym and completing a fitness test. I blogged about it (read My Body Age on 4/18). Since that time, the only exercise I've gotten is walking to/from my car, to/from Subway, and dancing with my baby. Eating healthy...NOT! It's been a very stressful week and I learned that I stress eat...after things are calm. I crave chocolate and soda and microwave foods like burritos and chimichangas. I'm also exhausted and my work schedule is different (temporarily). Maybe next week will be better, then again, I'm scheduled for dental surgery on Thursday, so except for the no eating part, I'll be on the same plane as I am now. No exercise, altered work schedule, etc.

Ah well, I'll just try to take each day as it comes and not worry about tomorrow.

This has been a good week. In addition to walking and doing the elliptical, I've been trying new games on Wii Fit Plus. Thank goodness I do better in real life than I do on Wii cycling. Otherwise I'd spend a lot of time in the trauma unit. emoticon Good wishes to all!

This has been a good week for me both in the exercise and in the sleeping emoticon emoticon . I've mixed up the types of workouts I've been doing from a few 10min cardios to 4mile walk away the pounds DVD, to being on the treadmil or walking outside. I think doing variations keep things fun and interesting and I dont get in a rut. Maybe doing things that way plus allergies has also been helping me to sleep as well.

I know what you mean, some days or weeks seems like it takes forever to get your motivation going. So I had more protein to my diet to help and it seems to do well for me.
