Well week 2 is now done. During week 2 I have stepped up my game, literally, by tracking my steps via spark tracker. I have also been doing mile 2 with walk away the pounds.

I have learned this week not to push myself too hard. These last couple days I did push too hard and today I'm taking it a little bit slower.

I will be doing a week 3 post soon.

Well I made it through mile 2 last night, it's a lot harder then mile 1, but I like the challenge. Today family and I got to walk a nature center's trail, which is about a mile long, Spotted some turtles and frogs at the end of it at the pound. My favorite walks usually involve animals in some way.

CLB,

I'm so excited that you're doing mile 2! I would love to be there with you, for your maiden voyage, so to speak, but God has me here helping others, in person, and I don't want to go against His plans that He has for me. Just know that I'm there in spirit, cheering you on! Please let us all know how it goes. YEA!!!! A core workout by Nicole! She will whip you into shape, right along with Leslie! You're getting it all and that's a good THANG!

Don't be concerned about what the scale does or doesn't do. As long as you feel good, clothes are get loose, your stamina has improved, and you can do things you were not able to do before, it's all GOD and it's all GOLD!!!!

Dwayne,

No strength string for me today, as it was my last round of injections yesterday, and I'm not up to it. I did get some cardio in and a bit later I'll try for more, depending how my body does.

Blessings!

Thanks CLB891 for the kind words...I just do the best I can and work for a positive outcome.

Nancy Jean, you are a very positive, motivating force and yes that does come from God...I'm so grateful every day for the freedoms we have to be able to openly say that.

I'm off now to the gym for some cardio and upper body work. Keep posting everyone, you keep me inspired.

Til next time,

Carpe Diem,
Dwayne

Yes PFER, color blue is a very good at encouraging me to keep going. Actually this whole group has been motivating me. emoticon I'm hoping to keep progressing, and stick with it.

Sounds like you have quit the workout routine there LCDDUB. Looks like you doing great to me.

Thanks MAJONES1225. Slowly but surely I'll get there.

Today I'll be doing Mile two for the first time. That should be interesting. As per the action points for this group I am also trying different strength workouts. Last night I did one of the spark people's core workouts.

I also did my weekly weight today and did lose a little bit more, not quite a pound. I'm hoping going to Mile two will help with that.

CLB,

Just remember Leslie's Golden Rule! If you keep your feet moving to the beat of the music, you're getting a good workout! I'm just so proud of you for trying to step it up.

PFER,

Thank you so much for the compliment, but there re others who also give good advice. I'm just putting out there what God is telling me to do and I'm a REALLY GOOD CHEERLEADER! emoticon

You just keep doing what you're doing, as you just said that your DH was impressed with what he sees you doing, and that means he also impressed with the results. When you're around something or someone long enough, how long that is, I don't know, they will pick up your good habits. So just emoticon

Dwayne,

Thank you also for the compliment, but give the Glory to God, for enabling me. I've already had my gym work with my upper body and cardio, and I've done more cardio here at the house, and I'll be doing water aerobics later this evening.

Blessings!

Love hearing about your plans and progress! Doesn't COLOR BLUE give great support and advice??! I thank the LORD we cannot afford to eat out more than for a very special occasion!! When my husband is at home and not travelling my main concern is the fatty meats (sausage etc.) he requests. He has no desire to change but he says he is VERY impressed with what I am doing, so I keep on keeping on!! (double duty in the kitchen, but so what? He's home!!) emoticon

Color Blue,

Yup I already have those resistant bands. I'm thinking on week three or four, since starting exercise not this group, I'll probably be able to do Mile 2. Right now Mile 1 still leaves me out of breath at the end. Basically that means this Friday I might be starting Mile 2.

I'm thinking I need to cut down on eating out during the weekends for sure, just because it's not healthy to do it every weekend. Plus we put quite a bit of money into just eating out.

thanks for the encouragement. emoticon

CLB,

WOW!!! You're doing a FANTASTIC job, kiddo!!! I love Leslie, and when I just need a leisurely walk, I'll do the 1 mile, as it give me a pick up. Have you tried any of her other walks? Did you know that mile 2 and 3 on there use resistance bands? They sure do give me a GREAT workout!

Girl, it doesn't matter how many times you go out to eat. When m friends or family call me to go out to eat, I ask where we're going and then I look it up on line and get all the nutritional information, as to what will work within my new lifestyle plan. Try looking at some of the places on line, as it will open a new world for you. Now, if you're just trying to cut down going out, stick to the plan that you have going on, at this moment. It's a good plan!

You GO, GIRL!!!

Blessings!

Quick recap. During week one I lost one pound and I have proven to myself I can exercise everyday. I did have my ups and downs. I am doing Walk Away the Pounds 1 mile three days a week, then strength training two days, and kids yoga for the other two days.

For week two I hope to continue to exercise, as well as start to eat out less during the weekends. Weekends are the hardest for me since my husband is home and we get so busy that it's hard to come home cook, eat, only to go out again. This coming weekend I am going to try to only eat out twice. I'll be slowly eliminating a day that I eat out each weekend, until I get down to once or twice a month.

Later tonight I'll be doing strength training with 8 pound weights.
