That I need to come up with more interesting ways to get my walks in.....I got bored, and ....well, things slowed down....certainly have some thinking to do!

Having a trail to walk on helps with my walking and cleaning on my apartment to sneak in exercise helps. When I have a temp job (which I did last night) as helps as it snuck in alot of extra steps and movements).

My office has a huge room upstairs used for storage that's mostly empty. I've been going up there on my lunch breaks and doing aerobics and strength training :)

I also have gone grocery shopping 3 times, I broke it up so that I could use the basket instead of the cart and as a result I have fresher produce and I've been planning recipes further ahead.

You have to make those little noises, or it just doesn't work. -Bob Ross

I used to think that only ten minutes of daily exercise was not enough, so of course I ended up doing no exercise. This challenge is teaching me to take small steps, to be consistent (a real challenge for me, but what I now realize is the true key to any success), and that some is always better than none. And now on to Week 3. Consistency and perseverance to us all.

Finishing up week 2. My day is more productive when I can exercise/workout as soon as I get up but after a small breakfast. I can procrastinate until the cows come home and before you know it it's noon. I do the work out, but end up ticked at myself for leaving things late and then I'm rushing to do what I want to do. Week 3: will be better. Heading into a week of night shift so it will be a challenge.

Anything is possible--except skiing through a revolving door.

The road to success is dotted with many tempting parking places.

Your body keeps an accurate journal regardless of what you write down...

Yes Marty, get the exercise in first. Even if you march in place for 10 minutes. When I'm washing my face, brushing my teeth, and washing dishes from the night before, I jog or just march in place. Make the bed I march or jog, while making the bed. That takes more than 10 minutes, and there you have your exercise DONE!!!

Blessings!

Marty,

I find that it's easier and more productive for me to get my exercise done, first thing in the AM, as the longer the day goes on, the harder, physically, it is for me to exercise. I pray this helps for you!

Blessings!

I find it still a struggle to get 10 minutes of exercise in. It is just a matter of getting up and doing them-grr!

Look at ALL of the SUCCESS STORIES here!!!! I'm so proud of all of you, as you're pushing yourself just a bit harder and finding out that you can do it! I know some of you mentioned that you were sore. If you just continue to move through the soreness, it will become less and less. Now, I'm not always talking a workout. If it's tough to walk and your hurting, just slow your walk down, as you do your chores and cook dinner, whatever. As you will notice the hurt will become less. Any movement with soreness is a GOOD THANG!!!

Blessings!

I have pushed myself to jog, not just walk, my treadmill and also added a half mile a day. I started strength training too. Feeling SORE...but accomplished.

...and when they lifted up their voice...and praised the Lord, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endures for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the Lord; So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the Lord had filled the house of God.

Keep pushing, and remember on those down days 10 minutes isn't that much time! Every day we can get something done no matter what!

I'm 5'8" and determined to make a change now. Ten minutes of fitness daily. Too many times I've fallen off the wagon, time to make long lasting positive habits stick. Can I do it?!

By nature I'm a distance hiker and mountain biker rider. I like to do 10 mile hikes and 20+ mile bike rides so my workouts tend to be long and take some planning. Quite a bit of an undertaking and quite a bit of time...very easy to make excuses not to go.

But 10 minutes, I haven't even figured out I'm working out and I'm done. Twenty minutes goes by and it still feels short. I decided to start the 8 week rookie running program to give myself some quick built in workouts any day I need one. I just did week 1 day 3 today. This is now day 15 of my 10 minute daily fitness streak and it's getting easier. I mean really, it's only 10 minutes, right?! We can all find that, each and every one of us, 10 minutes. It's getting easier now that I'm on day 15. I seem to just look at my watch and say, "Okay, just go do it." Then I do, it's just 10 minutes. Keep saying that to yourself, remember how quick 10 minutes goes by. Find a few Coach Nicole videos that are 10-15 minutes long and save them to favorites and just do them. Log out of Facebook, stop snacking, turn off the TV for 15 minutes and do it.

I'm loving this.
